I usually feel 2nd hand embarrassment when listening to patients struggle to answer Dr. Now's questions. But this guy is so well-spoken! He actually had decent responses for everything, and was serious about it too.

I genuinely don’t think they heard him 😂 either that or they were so nervous and neither one said anything and it was like “if she won’t say it I’m not gonna” type deal. I get it. These people are vulnerable and down bad. They def weren’t trying to be impolite.

This man is incredible, he totally admitted to how depressed he was, but he actually did something about it. That is so commendable, because sometimes it is so hard to look in a mirror when you're depressed and reflect on yourself and get the motivation to make it better. That can be really hard. I love how he's also doing it with his family, because that means he actually enjoys it, he's having fun, and living happy. I love that. Good luck man, I'm so proud of you!!!

I was especially glad to see that his family joined him in trying to lose weight. There used to be a really good weight loss reality show called Ex Weighted and they always pointed out on that show that weight loss goes better if your family or partner supports you or joins in and if you have specific goals.

man this one is really refreshing. its nice to see somebody actually work their ass of to get to the point they want to be. this guy did a great job, i dont think he can get enough praise for that. he accepted that his choices led him there and he took accountability for those actions and did what he had to in order to get where he wanted to be. great job bro

you can see how Dr Now cares, he does take the rough approach to people who arent doing the right thing because thats his methods but he does care about them. and when someone does really well he smiles., he says he is proud of them. hes a great doctor and he really does want to help them. he knows his stuff haha

Disagree with dr. Now. If there is a 98% failure rate with WLS, then obviously surgery is not the issue. Its the eating. Chris can continue eating and WLS wouldnt work but have to deal with the consequences of surgery. Chris understands that eating too much food is why hes 600+lbs.
@pedrothevenard
@pedrothevenard 3 ай бұрын
What the fuck are you talking about, weight loss surgery has the highest success rate in weight loss protocols by a landslide, it's almost 90% success if you are talking losing half the extra weight and keeping it off after 5 years or more , and over 70% success if you are talking getting down to over weight or normal weight from obese. Is however only recommended for extremely obese patients, because it is dangerous, but still, it isn't even close to any other method like changing habits or dieting and exercising, those methods are way healthier, but have a failure rate of over 90% after 5 years.

This kind of diet works. You still need carbs, but they should be complex. On September 20th my blood test came back. Doctor sent me a message saying I was pre-diabetic. Said to be cognizant of refined carbs and simple sugars. I now eat whole wheat bread instead of white, whole wheat pasta, and brown rice. I don't eat much of them though. I'll buy a loaf of 100% whole wheat bread and put it in the freezer. Take out a slice or two if I need it. I eat chicken meat every day. I buy frozen veggies, spinach, broccoli, brussels sprouts, etc. No more soda. I will occasionally have a little sugar in my coffee. Anyway, I was 244 pounds on September 20th. Today is December 8th and I weigh 223. This is without exercising. I just need to start walking and I'll be down below 200 in no time

Despite these heavy weight people consuming copious amounts of food , do they actually get adequate nutrition ? I'm wondering if that contributes to the pain. Getting adequate vitamin D must be impossible for people who never go outside.
