ABSOLUTELY. Worst case you stick to a dry area to prevent rust but BOOM visit family, go cross-country? Don't have to worry about finding a place to plant roots if you wanna?

This has to be the largest ambulance l have ever seen! Love all the cool features, that drying rack is quite clever. Also, loved your honesty about how difficult the build the was. You are right most people just gloss over the part. Great job!😀👍🏽

Best use of space award with that shower and toilet area. My favorite feature is the dish drying / cupboard. Perfect setup. It's kind of the same thing as having two diswashers in a kitchen, one for clean and one for dirty and just rotate. Very smart build. They should build and sell them.

You have created a beautiful home on wheels. I love how you made many things that are convertible and hidden when you don’t need them. Your creative ways of adding hidden storage spaces that are secure enough to protect your essential items while keeping everything organized until you need to access them. Being an electrical engineer really helped you figure out what you really needed to create a system that would work for you especially when you’re off-roading. Love how you setup your electrical closet in a easy to access area which doesn’t require you to disassemble parts of the interior space whenever something isn’t working properly. It reminded me of the different things my Dad created or adapted for when our family went camping or traveled to see family and friends who were spread out across the US and Canada. He was also an electrical engineer. He converted a boat refrigerator so that it could be in the back of our family van or Suburban which he installed a much larger battery that was charged while the vehicle was running and it would keep the refrigerator working even when the vehicle was stopped and parked in the campground which was essential when traveling with 7 children especially with infants and toddlers in the mix. I look forward to seeing more of your adventures as I subscribed to your channel.👍🏻❤️🤗🚑

I LOVE the dish drainer/storage idea. I am definitely adding that to my wish list for when I am to build mine. I have leaning towards an ambulance vice a van. The extra width makes a huge difference and there is a considerable amount of storage already in place. The shortbuses look nice but I would not trust the condition structurally or mechanically and the conversion is too costly to be left to chance. Plus, the number of windows just scream ice cold in winters and really hot summers.

Nicely done, and lots of great ideas there. Although, I don't think I'd put pipes under the composting toilet because urine can end up sticking and leaving a residue on the inside of the pipes.

Omg that wiring looked a mess to go thru. That would have been a major headache. Its a good thing he is a electrical engineer that would have cost a fortune to have someone else to do. That was a major task to go thru all that wiring, it was a mess. He did an excellent job rewiring that whole system. Its now a very clean looking wiring system now. That wiring was a major undertaking. Hats off to you Sir for a Job Well Done👍🏻👍🏻👏👏 Love what all you guys managed to get done in such a small space and it looks great. There's lots of little extras Ive never seen done before. Like the dish drain area, the bed, all the little hidden storage spaces... well thought out build. A Job well done Love it ❤😊👍🏻👍🏻

this was the best built rv/van/ambulance/truck I have seen thus far. the bed was my idea, I was thinking how would do a bed in a van or class b it would be a up as couch down as bed just like that (except I did not think of the electric part I was thinking mostly slides in wall) almost like a slide out bed you have at home, that electrical panel yikes!!! this is a very unique and best use of space so far and the permenant drain and storage of the dishes best yet.keep counterspace they really put alot of thought into this.

Fantastic conversion. I'd definitely be for that multitasking toilet system. Definitely a niche thing lol, not many would be up for doing that, but space efficiency is rather nice. In saying that, a corridor is always wasted space if left JUST as a corridor, the more uses you can get out of every section, the better. Also, I really like the hammock idea. Another thing you could probably do on that side is get some local artist to paint a nice scene on that side of the ambulance so you aren't just looking at a plain view. Going to require some special expertise admittedly, but there's a fair number that can do it. Equally maybe an awning at that side, awnings are always really handy on really hot days, or the occasional mild wet days. A transparent awning in the hammock while it is raining would be pretty nice actually, very relaxing just hearing the rain pelt off the awning while you are nice and cosy underneath.
@DrivenToAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! We go back and forth on what to paint on the exterior but we are hoping to get an awning over the hammock soon :)

Thank you, Jenna!! Such fascinating results and so very clever in terms of all the modifications! Many thanks to Greg and Ginger for sharing their home. I loved seeing everything and the bathroom is genius, as is that secondary back door storage. The only thing I can think that they might want to consider for the future would be an awning for the hammock side. Our American deserts are so much hotter (than the NW) and can leave significant blistering if people are too cozy and fall asleep under the summer rays. Ouch!! 💜🥰💜

Lots of great ideas - Nice Build - I've considered a 4*4 ambulance but went another route for my South American bound vehicle. The dish drying storage will certainly incorporate into my rig. Great idea raising the dinette for extra storage space I had the same hammock issue where I could never find a place to tie it up till I bought a hitch-mounted hammock rack. That is a shit ton of wires son-:) Have fun with the rig.
