True (they go on sales quite often), but if you use the coupons in the description you'll get the best price for a good while. For gaming, best bang for buck has been any of the Ryzen series mini pcs, though. 😺

​@@TeamPandory I am considering just replacing that noisy fan with an 120mm mod its driving me nuts. If you can id really appreciate if doing any AMD 7x or 8x mini pc future reviews a power test with an wall meter and checking how much watts are used during 4K youtube playback, am guessing its 25-35 watts my gmktec K9 hits 28-35watts. ETAprime claims AMD 8x uses 14 watts from the wall during 4K YT playback this sounds incorrect to me but I could be wrong.

For gaming, any Ryzen Mini PC probably has better bang for the buck. On that note, Handheld PCs are an interesting option too. This is more expensive than a Rog Ally, in the U.S. at least. This particular processor has two quick sync video engines supporting all the way to VP9 compression and decompression though. So it would be really great for video streaming, or a transcoding server like Plex or Jellyfin.

Where does one lock their mini PC with the Kensington lock when they are at home? I never even seen an actual lock, but I always liked the idea. But at home...where are you going to lock it too? For obvious reasons you can't lock it at a table, or a pipe. So...where? The drops in performance mode in Cyberpunk is probably due to the thermal throttling. My i7-4710HQ also thermal throttles in some games and when it does the performance drops a lot even in games that the GTX860M has no issue with them. But where in my case the CPU throttles because it approaches 100C, with the temps around 70C for this K9, I really don't see why it throttles. I hope GMKTec fixes this as otherwise this looks like a terrific mini PC for an Intel APU. I do wonder how it would handle Alan Wake 2 and Starfield. Not very well I am sure, but curiosity in me is strong lol. Thanks for the video!

Regarding the Kensington... Not a clue 😂 Yeah it will be thermal throttling, maybe due to the amount of cores. It's too bad regarding Starfield, as we COULD have added it to a massive games test that's going to go live in a couple of hours. Lots tested, many options faffed with, but sadly no Starfield (sorry!!!)

45Ddb fans noise, it's a lot. They need to put this little box pc to make much bigger and put much bigger fan.

We think around 50db, things can become noisy. This one gave us 51db under load, and around 40db under normal use, which is very quiet. Remember it's not just the audio level, but the frequency. I'd rather have a low whine than a high pitched scream any day of the week. 😊
