"In fact, China has been the biggest market for cars from General Motors (and its partner companies) for more than a decade." GM sales in China are declining as more people opt for EVs; however, it does NOT change the fact that had it not been for its sales revenue from China, the company would have gone bankrupt long ago. Tesla is now an official government car in China. However, the USA has imposed a 100% tariff on China's EVs. Not just American auto companies have been making sales in China for decades, but also the endless fast food companies like McDonald's and KFC. I think KFC makes most of its money in the Chinese market. "P&G makes 35% of its sales through e-commerce platforms in China." Please stop the sad songs about how China is gypping the USA.

This Volvo got 'delayed' due to the 100% tariff announcement and will probably never come to US now.

It doesn't work that way. (I wish it did.) The LEASING company gets the tax credit ($7500). You can't buy out the lease immediately. Also, you can only get the Tax Credit if you actually owe $7500 in taxes. This means that many people can't get the credit, and many more won't get the full credit.

Tesla emileage is over 300 which is now the standard minimum. Any battery less than 300 is just not enough. Everyone is moving on to 400+ and beyond.

Geely is moving the production of the EX30 to Belgium to escape the US China EV tariffs, which has delayed its release to 2025. So it wont be Chinese-made, it will be made by Europeans working for a Chinese company.

One funny fact, despite volve's big brand, the so called ''less expensive'' price and all the other good reviews about this EV for the US customers, the sales in China of Volve EV is almost 0. Because in the Chinese EV market, Volve EV is way over priced with average performance compared to other EV models made by other Chinese manafacturers

How's Volvo quality compared to its Japanese competitors? If it matches Toyots's quality, then that's a good thing.
