Did you find the snake brother? My husband and I saw one at my sister's house south of Iligan last year. Saw my husband kill 2.5 meter long rattlesnake in US, but he was scared to death of the yellow cobra. It held us in a room, so they are aggressive. I think I carry him off the hill, lol. There are people, at least here, who you can pay to hunt the snakes. They charge anywhere from 1000 to 5000 pesos depends on how fast they find it.

Put screen in all the windows. Use screen doors too. There are grasses and plants around. Place where they usually crawl. Plant "tangan tangan" outside so that the snake won't enter your backyard.

Adam, just a piece of advice don't use bladed weapon to hunt for a snake, instead used a long stick/ratan/bamboo to hit them in their body to disable them first, once you gain control of the situation that's the time to use wherever you want to finish them off. Be careful and remember in dealing with snakes.

Thick vegetation attracts snakes, kèep grasses and weeds grown on the lots around yours being cut often. Also clear all possible spot where they could make a shelter specially rat caves. Clean sorroundings keeps snakes away. Make sure that snake will be captured soon, putting you out of danger. There may be a snake hunter in your area.

Cats are also good snake hunters. One of them once brought home a dead snake which it might have caught from the open field with tall grasses across our house. You have to disable the snake using a long pole first as a cobra can jump on you before you could even wield your samurai.

That's why many months earlier, saw your garden covered by crawling plants like camote tops, etc. Must keep your garden grounds visible and be cemented. If you like to plant, raised rectangular beds only. Also, near your outside fence perimeter should be cleared even hire men to clear the grounds even 2 meters from your fence, and spray weeds killer if you can't cement it.
@AdamandJanesLifestyle

Snakes generally attack when startled or feeling cornered. I give it some space. Let it calm down. Hell, I even talk to it! Tell it to relax... then, with a long stick, tap near it so it moves away where there is a way out... touch it lightly if necessary so that it slithers where you want it to go. Snakes generally shy away when they 'feel' the vibrations caused by footsteps or activity. Just be cautious, but show 'em some love, understanding 'n compassion too hahha!

They don't need to kill it. Snakes are part of the environment especially when you're in their natural habitat. They simply need to get rid of shelter and food that attract snakes. If the snake is venomous, it's best to call a professional rather than attempt to catch it.

You need to import some mangoose and put in the yard. Mangoose love to eat snakes. Also if you import a lot of mangoose in the country and let them loose, soon there will be no more snakes to worry about. Make sure you fence off the yard so that the mangoose cannot run out.Mongooses eat small mammals, birds, reptiles, eggs, and occasionally fruit. A number of mongooses, especially those of the genus Herpestes, will attack and kill venomous snakes for food.

heard that having lemongrass and cactus plants helps, snake hates their texture and will irritate their skin as they crawl around.

Although I'm a wildlife biologist, snakes scare me. I grew up with a brother who loved reptiles and snakes were one of his pets. It was a garter snake but still freaked me out 😅 Anyway, it's very important to learn to identify snakes whether you have venomous or nonvenomous in your yard. It's best to call an expert for venomous snakes. There are two things that attract snakes to homes, food and shelter that humans unknowingly provide. They like shade, moist areas, dense compost or leaf piles and will be around if natural water is provided. Snakes hunt small animals like mice or rodents, frogs, snails and fish. Chickens also attract them. You can get rid of snakes in your yard by eliminating food sources, getting rid of standing water, filling burrows, removing shelters, introducing natural predators (like cats), replacing grass with mulch or gravel, getting rid of bird feeders and bird baths, keeping pet food inside, trimming your bushes and trees, and installing snake-proof fencing.

In the US they use Jack Russell Terriers dogs! Bred to do just that kill snakes. They are a snakes worst nightmare, intelligent/athletic/ small but can run all day. They are as quick as a snake strike, therefore, will circle the snake and later shake it to death. No fear at all. They will run with horses all day keeping rattle snakes away from cattle. They are very brave little dogs, and will sacrifice their own life for family. The. Military uses them to clear airplanes ..quickly.

We killed about 6-10 cobras on our property. We put up cement wall and keep everything now trim close. On high grass. We also have great mouse traps that kill the foot the snakes come after. Now we have no more problems. Cobras are not aggressive. They will try to get away. If they are on property they must die. My wife feels about snakes the same as yours. The local will help you catch them. Cats also help to keep them away. I have a long handle spade to kill them.

Well if you have a lot of rats, you'll have a lot of snakes. Mice and rats are their favorite food. We live in Florida on a lake with woods behind and yes we have snakes, frogs and mice (though I've never seen mice) but we also have owls, racoons and a Bob cat, so they pretty much take care of the snakes. All to be expected in the tropics.
