Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens!

Loved to see this video. Because I don't know if you have too few "party" moments, or you just keep them to yourselves. Because it's absolutely important that you fête your amazing accomplishments properly. With good food, candles, flowers, good music. Watching the sunset and your cats having fun, cuddling and talking about the amazing things you accomplished and unique things you experienced. You do that often, I hope??

Great idea with the outdoor kitchen, but... please re-think having a pizza oven directly above the gas bottle from a safety perspective. If you do end up enclosing the gas bottle, I would suggest that it be enclosed in those crates, so the slits act as an airflow. Congrats to both of you on a fantastic build. 👏👏👏

Tip to help Fernando ease down on vet trip. You can buy a spray ( usually at vets ) that capms cats down. Spray it on a fabric which you cover the cage with he is in. Wonderful project you guys! Inspiring. The best of luck to you! 💪❤️

Just an advice, be careful with the sun directly shining on the gas bottle it can let loose the tube of the connection and waste the full tank, it already happened two times with my family and I'm not sure if it's safe to put a pizza oven next to it also! Just be careful guys! ❤️ Love your videos!

Thank you for another very enjoyable vlog; and as well as looking forward to seeing your projects and tasks,( in some part of every vlog) I also so enjoy seeing glimpses of your land with the various 'outhouses', the chickens and the chicken coup, the beautiful wild flowers, the bees and butterflies, the birds singing, your wells and water areas, and your fruit trees; and watching the goats , your cats playing in the sun, Theo driving the tractor and tilling the soil or cutting the grass or strimming and Bea enjoying her plants; seeing her planting them, picking them and then cooking and eating them ( while relaxing in the sun), is just so relaxing and so enjoyable. I wish there was time for it all😊😊

Hi Bea and Theo! So good to see the newly installed Outdoor Kitchen. I love cooking outdoors year-round, even in the Winter. Though I prefer a Wood Fire Cookpit. I really love grilling meats and veggies and even baking over a Fire. And you have discovered the joy of doing the same. You are going to get a LOT of use out of your Veranda. 🙂

I noticed as Theo was mowing around the garden that you have a lot of dandelions. I am curious if you have thought to harvest your dandelions root for tea? It has excellent health benefits. The leaves are also edible with a light peppery flavor & are highly nutritious. I love the outdoor kitchen. This is in my book of dreams.

It was awesome to see Bee cutting the veggies from the garden and then cooking outside. I wonder if Theo could build a small or narrow partition that would protect the cooking area from the elements of the weather. Maybe something that is clear and attachable to the roof so Bee could still have a beautiful view of the outside area. I know, more work, but there is so much more to do and it's wonderful!

Theo, if you tape a plastic bottle to your saw's sawdust output, you could save that and use it for animal bedding, etc. - if you do enough wood work, that is! Just a thought - using resources to their fullest potential is environmentally friendly, as you already know! 😊

Dandelions are a sign that your soil is lacking calcium. Garden lime (calcium carbonate) can help rectify the imbalance, but you'd only really need it in in-ground beds (unless you used just regular native soil in the planter boxes, then they'll need it too).
