Totally agree -- there's nothing like fresh tomatoes and cucumbers from the garden! Now I'm hungry! 🍅🥒🧅😋

We're only two days after our first killing frost and I'm already missing my tomatoes! It's going to be a long winter!

A trick a friend taught me a while ago, that helps me to dice onions, is to only cut the top off, when peeling them. Then all layers stay connected at the bottom end and are easier to control, when I cut them into smaller pieces.

The taste of fresh vegetables cannot be matched by grocery store produce. My garlic, potatoes, and cherry tomatoes thrilled me this summer.

Loved the video, recipe & sneak peek of your gorgeous home remodel! Since you don't do "typical garden tours" ... if you ever think of it while out in your garden beds, mentioning the gorgeous plants nearby would be lovely! I noticed your gorgeous Northern Sea Oats and something else with purple flowers? Anyways, I imagine it must be a lot to turn on the camera and show us around, and I always appreciate your authenticity. Thank you for your videos! 💛

Oh my, yes. I have been unsuccessful with onions, too. Thanks for the tips. For the past four years I tried onion sets from Walmart. Next season, I’m going to try seeds and soil blocking. Happy harvest time from a fellow Coloradan! Would love to see more cooking videos. ❤

This is the first year I grew normal sized onions from seed (after trying for about 5 years). The key for me was good soil, lots of mulch to not let the soil dry out, and to water often. I live in Ohio and get the seeds started in January inside and then plant them out in March.

This is my favorite summer salad too! And ...you might be as excited as i was when i found a recipe to can it! I layer cucumber, tomato and onion in a jar, add a light vinegar brine, and process like a pickle! Its not exactly the same, you loose some of the freshness BUT hands down better than buying tomatoes in the winter from the grocery!👏🏻

Enjoy the variety of your videos so yes, cooking videos would be wonderful. My hubby loves the Sun Gold tomatoes also. I grew Celebrity for slicers and San Marzano for paste. We've grown many varieties in the past so will try your pineapple pole next year. Tomatoes in Washington Puget Sound area are tricky with sometimes very cool, wet weather through June.

Really like your videos. In the off-season would love to see the remodel of your home. I am in Phoenix and the last couple of years my produce in the raised beds have really been eaten by ground squirrels. They got all my tomatoes, managed to get a few cucumbers and melons. And Rabbits are getting my ground level beds. How do you combat some of these type of pest? Getting very discouraged. Also, my son just moved to Colorado Springs so your videos are even more interesting to learn about this new climate. Hope to actually visit your place sometime next year when I go out to visit him and you have an open farm day. And would love to see your recipes.

yum! I love this whole video. I WISH I liked tomatoes raw but nope. Although I want to give them a chance and make them into sauce or salsa.

Zdravím z Česka, u nás děláme obdobný salát z rajčat, okurky , cibule a pár paprik. Nálev děláme sladkokyselý. Pěstujeme si také svoji zeleninu, chutí a kvalitou se nedá srovnat s kupovanou. Děkuji za vaše videa, hodně jsem se od vás naučila.

It always surprises me when I see you having your sheep just wander about (especially after they ate all your harvested dahlias (I think) a bit ago). How do you keep them from eating what they shouldn't be eating?
@Blossomandbranch2 ай бұрын
We let them wander more freely in late summer than in spring when things are tall and they can’t reach them, or are nearly done blooming. Spring we have to keep them a bit more contained with the portable fencing :)

Hello I would love to learn more about your indoor composting. Does it bring bugs? My research has been mixed. I live in NY and don't have a area in my yard where I can start a pile of compost but would love to have my own soil instead of buying from the stores to fill my outdoor pots. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
