Well, other than sword chars (Emerald of Genesis is broken and given for free), that's kinda necessary seeing as 4 star weapons are nowhere near as good as five star ones even if you are only looking at their supportive abilities. I'm gonna be totally honest, the lunite subscription is the best imo. For every patch I get 6600 (lunite sub + dailies (150 x 40 days and the extra 300 currency twice)) extra astrites prepared which is 44 pulls. Because Kuro is so generous they practically give astrites enough each patch to reach pity once the next patch (hopefully you're lucky) but that 44 extra pulls back me up so well. I've gotten one character per patch this way, and if I'm lucky, I'll typically have enough left over to get their weapon 😩(ty Kuro for making it guaranteed). Even more so if I get the 10$ battle pass. So I spend what like $20 every 40 days. So let's just say, I broke f2p very quickly...but I do love supporting Kuro Games (Also really funny video btw it was so entertaining)

For the price of a coffee, you can now get at least 3 charectors ( excluding free xiangli ) even of you hit double hard pity on everything and loose all 50/50 ..... I was a bit lucky... So i only skipped jiyan and zhezi and will skip the new four stars Also managed to get yinlin and yao weapon

I 100% feel your pain. I started playing at release, had to stop a few days before Yinlin dropped due to my phone being unable to handle the game. I came back to the gane during Xiangli Yao's banner due to having a new phone which managed to handle the game (thankfully) and pulled Xiangli Yao (didn't realize he's free there) and got him to C2 (free copy included) plus his weapon. When Shorekeeper came, I absolutely REGRETTED pulling him so I farmed...only to loose my 50/50 on max pity to Lingyang...I ended up grinding day after day (literally neglecting school for her) and got her between 60-70 Pity a few days ago...now I saw Camellya leaks of gameplay etc a day or two ago and I could cry 😂😭

Giving 1K Dollars for just getting one of a characters in a game shouldn't be that much overpriced for my opinion. But like battle pass or welkin in wuwa is affordable and logical either costumes (we're gonna see costumes on 1.4). Also it's not about getting a job and paying our salaries to one of the characters on a game.

i planned to save my pulls and only go all in on a character i loved everything about, Changli was that character for me. i got her weapon and got her R3 and have managed to pull several other characters i wanted and their weapons. i got ZheZhei accidentally VERY early and her weapon as well as Xiangli Yao's weapon, i also managed to win 50/50 for shore keeper AND her weapon. over all im very happy with my account. i havent bought any of the currency packs, and have only bought BP / Welkin aswell as the 4 10$ that pop up every patch giving a total of 1600 asterite and 10 limited character and weapon pulls. i dont care for jiyan or camella so im pretty confident im going to be skipping the next few updates, but that being said you never know what happens lol. im currently at 71 pity on character banner but no gurantee sadly, but i have been VERY lucky on weapon banner with all weapons coming within 20 pulls of eachother except for SK whos weapon cost 44 pulls, im very satisified with the amount of currency the game gives, theres always tons of events giving either pulling currency or now ALOT of character materials, overall im just very happy with this game

I have a job and am fortunate enough to have some little bit of disposable income. Eversince I started WuWa I've been planning to stay as f2p because it's not my main game after all (main game is Genshin) but after the free XY and the peak 1.3, I thought to myself, why not, why don't I support Kuro even in the smallest possible way I can, so I caved and purchased the Lunite Subscription and this probably won't be my last. I just was really thankful to Kuro for bringing in such and awesome game + their generosity. I wanted everyone, and I have pulled everyone and their weapons. I've only spent 165 thus far, and it's literally 55 dollars each patch. For a light spender, only 55 each patch, and you get everyone, and their weapons is just insanely good. Not to mention, I've yet to 100 the entire map. Only 35-55 percent on each area of the map. I also have 70 pity into the shorekeepers banner. Was trying to get her s1, but it might not be worth it. I also have 9 pity in weapons banner waiting for Camellya, too. For what I've spent over the course of however long the game is out, it is cheap for gacha game.

This man's story is so similar to mine but with some differences. I'm pretty sure I lost my 50/50 to Encore once pretty early on but forgot for who (maybe Jiyan). I wasn't able to get Jinhsi's weapon (unfortunately) I got Zhezhi and her signature I did not manage to get Changli. As for the similarities... I knew going into this game that I will need some support so I got BP and subscription from the get go. Just started like 2 weeks ago and got lucky with Shorekeeper 50/50. Now I'm almost ready for Camellya. I would love to get lucky so that I could use the other pulls for her weapon but we'll see. She gives strong Harley Quinn vibes so that's a win, the more I look at her the better she gets and I was a bit apprehensive at the start. But if they ever create a badass tomboy with no nonsene attitude and hot design... I think I will actually swipe to max the character. KURO give me a character like Acheron / Feixiao / Alpha Crimson Weave and my credit card is yours!

I can't call myself F2P, but for the most part I have only purchased the monthly and BP(2 of them were the bigger option). However, I manage to get each banner in less than 40 rolls, most with 2 multi(20 rolls). I also did not roll on Yao since he was free. You're right though, unfortunately they will run out of novelty, but they have done such an amazing job with these characters nor are they too generic. Agreeing with another commentor, Kuro has also been extremely magnanimous with giving us mtx currency. I didn't last playing PGR because it actually was unholy F2P friendly, but I'm grateful for those that paid to make this game amazing.

A huge pro of banger character after banger character is that unless you REALLY prefer a specific one, you don't have to plan very much. Just pull and get whatever. Yeah, I did skip Jiyan and Yinlin, but that's because their gameplay didn't catch my attention. Then I got Jinhsi because she was strong and cute and Changli because she is hot. I left Zhezhi behind because IMO she's just an upgrade to Jinhsi that is much worse than her Sequence 1 while requiring a full build and much more expensive than the weapon (which I did get). But she's good and having her wouldn't be bad. But yeah... I was already aiming for Shorekeeper. Her value is insane and her aesthetic is flawless. Anyways, worth adding that characters are ridiculously expensive to level in Wuwa. Even after all the items given in the last weeks, I still have just 3 characters (Jinhsi, Changli and Shorekeeper, bu Rover-Havoc will soon follow) and 3 weapons (Ages of Harvest, Emerald of Genesis and Stellar Symphony) at level 90. And there's the case for Xiangli Yao being given for free. In short, whether you get a character or not, you should be good to go: If you get it, you have an amazing new toy to play with; If you don't, you can focus your resources on other characters which are still damn great. Just don't skip Shorekeeper. Now THAT's regretable.

I don’t think kuro would release a 5 star support character other than the storekeeper for a while after this patch. She is everything for every character which does not only heals but also gives a massive buffs of crit rate and damage for the teams. Why ? Because they need to make some money too ? lol . I respect Kuro for trying to deliver and respect the player base. Plus if you play f2p games you know that money is needed. If you cant accept that you are not cut for playing them. In fact the way Kuro does things makes me want to support them, maybe i will save some money for a skin or pass. Well said in the end.

Feelsbadman for all the ppl losing 50/50s, but f2p isn't an issue if you actually think about the characters you want in your team. I got Jiyan before the 1.1 update and I thought he was bad. Now on the other hand, he has carried me with pairing shorekeeper, and Sanhua in the 1.3 update. I only say this from being a 3 year genshin player and have no hate to how anyone else plays WuWa. Having team comps that deal dmg are it for me and that's all I need. If you wanna collect all the characters go ahead and play that way. Just don't complain "f2p is an issue" an shi because you wanna be a hog :\. Again, I understand the characters are cool, but spending money you shouldn't probably use/lose is bad. (also I agree with MrSupahLMFAO, she is actually an insanely amazing character, 10/10 would recommend for almost all teams) (P.S. - just get better luck lol)

It is possible pull for every character as F2P. You just have to sacrifice your time on map, events, dailies, tower and have luck. I'm f2p player and so far, I got every character in game expect Changli, because I didn't really wanted to pull for her in that time. Getting their weapon is impossible tho. I got signature weapon only for Jinshi and Jiyan.

I'm unfathomably lucky in Wuthering. I never lost a 50/50 on any character I went for, I got Yinlin, Changli, and Shorekeeper's signature weapons in less than 30 pulls each, and I still have 100 pulls on backup - all without spending a penny on the game. However, I'm also missing out on most of the meta right now: I skipped Jiyan, Jinhsi, and Zhezi. I chose Jianxin from the Choice Banner, got Calcharo on the Beginner Banner, and still haven't used my 5* voucher because I'm happy with what I got (not getting Verina because I find her boring). I'm also skipping hard on Camellya, because I can't stand these yandere-esque archetypes at all, but I'm VERY interested in Lumi.

Tbh, I don't think f2p problem is that bad. You have enough pulls to get almost what you want in every patch. In my case, I was able to get Yinlin with her weapon, Jinhsi with her weapon, Zhezhi with her weapon, Xiangli Yao's weapon and lastly Shorekeeper. I just skipped 2 characters while doing so (I didn't skip Jiyan just lost 50/50) while being completely f2p. Now I'm aware this might be an edge case as I've been winning 50/50s and even got Shorekeeper early, but still its not so far fetched that I'm sure there are crazier pull histories than mine with other f2p players. I even have enough pity and funds to get Camellya with her weapon as well. (hopefully if I win 50/50)

I was going to skip Shorekeeper to get Camellya but after playing the story I decided to throw 20 pulls at the banner as F2P. RNJesus has been good to me as I now have Shorekeeper and about 50 pulls saved for Camellya. Male rover out here living is best life because of me.

Cleaned all map for Shorekeeper, her weapon and const. Loose 2 50/50 for Calcharo and Verina. Now...Camellya: there is no any chance to pull for her.

well shorekeeper is a must for players but me I already decide to the next rerun of shorekeeper. gonna wait for other support 5 star characters. Kuro might drop a bomb again. I wanted a 5 support that gains damage multiplier or energy regen party on liberation skill not in switch skills.

Yup, the only one I've skipped thus far is Jinshi, because I just didn't vibe with her character, but I've pulled everyone else thus far AND their weapons and as far as I've seen from leaks and ..so on, I will be continuing to do so for a while because all the characters are just too effing cool!!!

after pulling 60 or 70 times i got shorekeeper...then after 2 weeks or so i found out that camilya is coming next patch....now i'm in a regret and glad situation for getting shorekeeper :(

I had the exact same situation with you with Zhezhi and Shorekeeper- however… to be honest, I’m very underwhelmed with my Shorekeeper. I’m somehow getting worse clears using her instead of Verina- and I don’t know how- part of me wonders if I should have skipped her, and saved my guarantee.

I think it's possible to get everyone IF you were a Day 1 player and unless you get insanely unlucky with 50-50 and/or if you want duplicates or signature weapons. But for people who only started playing maybe a month ago, if they really want to get most upcoming banners, they will have to at least get the Astrite Subscription. From my personal experience, I have spent about a total of $30 (2 astrites subs, 2 BPs) in the game and I'm only missing Zhezhi & Jiyan. (I have S1 Jinhsi, Yinlin Weapon, and SK weapon through all this. Had I pooled all pulls into characters, I would have all of them) I wasn't lucky either. I have lion boy, C2 Encore and C2 Verina and I'm averaging at 65 pity. Also worth to note that I squeezed out every astrite that I can get in the game.

I played since launch, got both Jiyan and Linyin with her Stringmaster as f2p. Stopped at Jinshi released and just got back recently and pulled Shorekeeper. I haven't gotten her weapon yet. All this as a f2p player. I don't even know about the 50/50 and the pity system 😭 and how it works.

got c1 shorekeeper in the same 10 pull and then lost to encore in the next ten pull, so im guarenteed camellya because i have like 10 pulls saved and im on 50 pity RIGHT NOW, so by the end of the patch ill get 20 more pulls for camellya, but after this INSANE luck i HAD to get the lunar subscription because i felt so guilty about just getting every single char, like no joke, the only ones i dont have are jinshi and zehshi and for some reason verina- other than that ive copped ALL the limited 5*

tbf, if you like the game and can't toss up the price of a battlepass, and a lunite for characters, it's on you. I would still say the weapon banner being that easy to pull on is a blessing and a curse at the same time, I'm close to going from light spender to something like dolphin just because I feel like wanting them all, so I reluctantly skipped shorekeeper weapon 😅

I thought that i will pull for camellya but when i found out that phrolova is just around the corner - she probably will be released in 2.2, basically three patches ahead, i decided to skip camellya. Also I don't like her spin swap combat style, so not sure if i need her at all. Even if she will be OP we always can hope for soon reruns since don't have that much chars in the game

I am a f2p player who is quite happy with my 5 star roster since they include: Yinlin(10) Jinshi(73) Shorekeeper(67) Electro Guy(Free) I am happy without Jiyan/Zhezhi but I am very sad for not getting Changli
