Everyone talking shit about the new engines on both parties . Don’t blame it on them. Blame the the government and their emissions. If the government wouldn’t step a foot they would of have V8s .

It's all about emissions. Everyone thinks these smaller engines are all about MPG, but they're not, they're all about reducing emissions, especially at idle. Same reason these modern car/trucks force auto start/stop on you. It's all about meeting government regulates in the smallest ways possible.

The Ram just has a classier feel and more comfortable drive all while having more power. I'm going Ram. But the Tundra has some really cool ammenities/features i.e. retractable rear glass, full sunroof, beefier exterior look, retractable bed step.
@harisarifАй бұрын
Having owned a Tundra and a TRX and test driven a Ram Limited, i honestly felt ( even tho it was higher priced, but that can be negotiated at the time of sale) I felt like I was getting a better deal with the ram , especially dealing with a lot of the growing pain / gremlins of the 23 limited tundra.

I am tired of hearing that the new seats are not completely soft in the GMs trucks but I look at the seats in the GMs in 5 years and they look to been still new. My brother in law who has been a Toyota tundra and will never buy their leather again. Fords and rams you can see the wear in the seats that people say in mostly...😮😢😮😅

Reliability isn't a factor anymore since Toyota has to completely replace 100,000 tubdra engines, so if i had to I'd pick the Ram.
@josiahwyncott7519Ай бұрын
Not if they have fixed that engine issue now. Not being a fanboy, I think the new Tundras are stupid, but the amount of issues and recalls American trucks have is absurd. Ram has had huge recalls to fix an engine stalling issue TWICE in the past 18 months or so.
@dtay8913Ай бұрын
@josiahwyncott7519 i don't disagree with you. The problem is people, especially on the internet, like to profess Toyota as some infallible God that doesn't make mistakes and forge vehicles that will outlast twinkies, cockroaches, and all life on earth and that couldn't be further from the truth. Especially with their most recent releases.
@dtay8913Ай бұрын
@josiahwyncott7519 I don't disagree with you. It's just that Toyotas fanbase think that it's infallible. That they'll outlast twinkies and roaches combined and that's obviously not the case anymore.

80K for a RAM truck is laughable, with that horrible MPG and overstretched six cylinder engine, yes it has all the leather in the world but given RAM's quality it will just wear out after a year. Why was the idea of a "luxury truck" even invented in the first place?
@tylermichaud8699Ай бұрын
Wear out after a year ? Lmao 4 rams and had leather on all of them and never once has the leather ripped, torn, cracked or anything like that. My first ram had 207k miles and it was still going and the leather looked great. But yeah tell us another story. I think 73k for a tundra is laughable especially with all them cooked engines and hard plastic everywhere 😂
@MrJason081382Ай бұрын
I have a 2019 and it’s held up great so not sure what you mean. The ram is actually a really good truck. I need a 3 row suv or something with a tad more room but don’t want to give up my truck. It’s been really good overall the past 5 plus years

For the price I could have a 1 ton DRW 4WD with a large displacement V8 gasser or a diesel. I personally would take ANY entry level 3/4 ton or 1 ton over either of these and spend the difference on something fun to tow. I can't stand the tablet bolted to the dash look to TOYota has. I much prefer the screens sit flush with the top of the dash and you can see they had the space to do it. Both sound like trash and can't tow enough for my needs. If these engines are still hanging in there after 250,000 miles with proper regular maintenance I will be sold and recant my criticism, until then I'm sticking to GM 6.0 or 6.6L and Ford 6.2 or Ram 6.4. I like overbuilt proven workhorses. Durability > shiny new toys. If these are to be a second/weekend/date night truck all good there but I'm not buying either to do work.
