My favorite part of the video was that Thomas D. Rice Jim Crow reference at the beginning when the video started. From the dancing to the Jim Crow pose he did while holding the gun and then shooting the guitarist at point blank range. That video was so epic and genius. It took a brilliant mind. He took 400 plus years of oppressive history and placed it in 4 minutes and 4 seconds. Absolutely amazing concept. The way guns were handed with care while people were disposed of. It really showed how America is.

I wouldn’t necessarily say Joyner though. He’s had multiple videos that have made a huge splash. If you had any reading comprehension you would understand that this applies to the celebrities that get the credit for what they don't do..ie Cardi B, The Rock, Beyonce... etc. If Donald Glover produces and writes his greatness, then my statement doesn't apply to him you dumbass. Now if were specifically talking about the This is America video, and you actually look at the credits... Donald doesn't list himself as the producer, director, or choreographer of it? So what is your point I think you left it somewhere.
@billybobbobson6 жыл бұрын
Kalvin So? That doesnt mean he wasnt heavily involved in the process. Kanye has his latest music made by other producers but he’s still heavily involved and directing everyone he collaborates with to fulfill his vision. Matthew Andino I agree with what your saying but I don't relate to him on no type of level he doesn't speak for me through his music meek mill would be more of a artist I can relate to ....sometimes less is more you don't need to be a actor Singer dancer rapper to be a genius I think that type of statement is overrated and not necessarily true all the time

Bars&Hooks HipHopTV you're right, you don't need to be. But when you're gifted with a lot I think you're better off using all your talents because black people are usually portrayed as a cluster. Especially in media. Hes a baller, that's a pimp, that's a ho, blaseblah. When you can do more than one thing it forces people to think outside the box. So I appreciate an artist that could do more. Saying that, he's weird. But I relate to that lol.
