Always just used a glass sealant. Just easier on pocketbook, just reapply every other month. But gonna give BC5 a try

I personally dislike coatings on glass. During a high dew point I find it fogs the glass and doesn’t clear up. Where as with no coating I roll down my windows and the fog disappears. Just my opinion. Best wishes Brian.

I finally applied BC5 to my car windows yesterday after having the bottle for several months. I used Stoner Glass Stripper to remove the former coating. The windows were then cleaned, synthetic clay media was used and then Gyeon Prep to make sure they were super clean. The application of BC5 is effortless and the leveling is very easy. Just waiting a bit before I decide to wash the car. I coated all my exerior car windows and only used about one-fifth of the bottle Thanks Brian.

I just got and used my BC 4. I can't believe how easy it is to apply! I swear the glass seems clearer, like HD vs UHD. Impressed so far. Rain is forecasted for tomorrow, I'll report back.

Brian, as you have told us in the past, don't be hoarder. Use what you got first. I had an unopened bottle of Wolfgang Perfekt glass polish. I used it with a white polishing pad Most of the water spots came off. I then decided to go for broke. I spritz the pad with the carpro spotless 2.0 . A test combo. I hit the glass again and all the water spots are gone on that section. My wife now wants me to finish her car as I used it as a test. I'll be ordering the blue collar sealant and give that a try. On her car of course😅. Thanks again as always.

Blue collar 5 received today and put on windshield and back window. So easy to wipe off!! Anxious to see the water behavior in the rain.

@apexdetail85 I’ve tried 10+ different glass coatings (gyeon quickview, carpro fly by forte, glassparency, etc.) and by FAR the easiest to apply is the blue collar 5. Idk how you did it but it’s literally impossible to get a high spot with this coating… normally high spots are a pain and are so visible on clean prepped glass but the working time to wipe off the coating for blue collar 5 is so forgiving and SO easy. I LOVE IT!

some 5% vinegar mixed 50/50 with distilled water is my go-to to remove light mineral water spotting, you can mix it stronger if needed. Wipe it over the area, let it dwell for a minute or two, then rinse it off. Flush with distilled water, wipe dry with your normal drying towel, then reapply wax or whatever you'd like as the acetic acid will have stripped a little of the protection away.

Hi Brian. Another good video. If I use BC4 spray protectant, do you recommend using Stoner Glass Stripper or a clay bar as well as a 50/50 IPA cleaner on the exterior glass prior to application? My son is a smoker so should I also clay the interior glass to remove the film prior to cleaning with the IPA solution? Thanks for putting out all these useful videos.

You certainly could. I would recommend just using a rinseless or waterless wash so you do not put anything harsh on the coating but I am probably being overly safe here and most glass coatings should be able to easily handle a window cleaner.

Any recommendation for product or process for the following environment/problem: Gravel road (dusty/muddy), windy, drizzle on dusty vehicle. The problem is that the back window gets dusty, add a little drizzle and the water beads, but doesn't run off, the glass then dries quickly in the wind and leaves dried "mud" and makes vision out the back difficult, particularly when reversing at night? My guess... Suck it up, buttercup. 🤣
