Really needed to hear that today! It applies to my MTBing and ww kayaking! Thanks!

Things changed massively at 58... Cancer was the news flash. Fortunately, diagnosed from routine blood workups and confirmed with DNA testing that set in motion chemo with a Stem cell chaser. The good days, I would take a ride on my 4130 RSD Middlechild. No. It wasn't go full send!!! It was get a breeze in my face for diversion. Wasn't long before being declared cancer free. However, recovery is hardmode... My bike is the one thing that did bring me through that chapter. As I recover and at a snail's pace attempt to rebuild the loss of nearly 40% of muscle mass, my bike is my physical therapist. There is a catch, here! I am predisposed to tendonitis as well as tendon rupture. That is part of the snail's pace here. As I return to my bike addiction... I also have great interest in the lovely information you are sharing in your channel, as Super Rider's channel. Techniques... For each move that can be done by bike, there are 1,000 ways to do each one. Each method is not wrong, just a difference in efficiency. The more approaches I can study, the better. You're a good man, Dave! I appreciate you.

Dude, I'm 55 and get out as much as I can. I know my boundaries of riding now that I've aged. Im not looking to qualify for Redbull Rampage. I've been riding bikes since I was 4 or 5 yrs old. Raced BMX in the early 80's, freestyled in the mid to late 80s, then transitioned to Mtb's in 89.

You’re living! (Plus cool car) if you don’t mind me asking how do you prioritize? Glad you’re getting out!!

@mountainbikeacademy Thanks. Love the channel as well. The vette is homage to my father having a 63 convertible before I was born that he always spoke about. I grew up kinda poor as I had 4 other siblings, so everything I did or got was worked hard for. I'm also a cancer surviver, so my view on life changed. Plus, our kids are grown. I'm in SoCal, I get out in the morning or afternoon depending on the season. My wife of 33yrs doesn't bother me because she knew I was into riding before we met. Luckily, I can pedal to my ride locations. I try to ride for 2 or so hours 2 to 3 times a week. Unfortunately, Rattlers come out in May, so I have to change up my locations quite frequently. I've crossed paths with big ones twice already on my Wednesday ride.

Both Joeys and MTB Mikes still like new bike day. Lol. I ride black lines often w no tow in bc I usually ride alone. Don't care about standing out. i enjoy figuring out the puzzle of the trail and its features by myself. I know my fundamentals are sound so I visualize myself cleaning the features. It is about personal accomplishment more than recognition for me... and not getting injured. I session unknown features now, when I used to just wing it. Great tip to break things down, rather than try to put it all together at once. Just bought a 2023 Rocky Mountain Instinct and I am concentrating on endo turns w its long wheel base. One thing at a time. I'm 55 and a better rider than ever, but recoveries are longer after big rides.

100% they do! New bike day is fun no matter what. Visualizing cleaning the feature is mint.
