Canadian visitor here who regularly rides Squamish and Whistler. (Look ‘em up if you haven’t heard of them 😁). This trail is amazing. We were there today after an overnight rainstorm and cooler temps. We had a blast on it. Some great punchy climbs, some fast downhill, a couple of jumps and a mini-slab or two. This trail definitely is NOT for beginners. The rock gardens alone will have them hating it let alone the rock climbs and the punchier climbs will finish it. We saw few hikers and dog walkers but all were unfailingly polite and stepped aside. Stopping on the side of the trail and looking around you is a great part of mountain biking - I mean it’s right there in the name and to have stopped appreciating those views seems…odd. I don’t think your review has done it justice at all, but as it’s a free country, you are entitled to a ridiculous opinion. Have at it.

Traffic on the trail is crazy. Trail looks good to me though. At least you didnt have a dog poop incident like I did. In Thailand, we have a trail in Chonburi where loads of "trail runners" start to share that place (FYI, originally old school DH trail) and have some drama between riders and runners. BTW, did you use chin cam? Look nice though. Some people did terrible job by putting camera angle down too much that makes it "handlebar" video. Keep up good job, mate!

Wayne... methinks you're a bit spoilt by the adventures the last few years... to a Capey with salt water in his veins, but stuck 1 thousand and 4 hundred and eleventy km away, that sunset view looks pretty fkn beautiful. Happy to swap places for a bit so you can recalibrate to what sh1t trails really look like ;-P Lady walkers are nicer your side, too! :-) Might see you around in Dec...

I am spoilt & like I said in the video, I take the views for granted because I am accustomed to it. There are so many below average trails popping up around these parts, there needs to be some kind of progression.
@Kermannator4 жыл бұрын
I hear ya, man, here it is the same - the more interesting spots don't survive because too few people ride it - and even when we build a few features on the basic stuff, people blame the city council or trail builders when they run out of the very little talent they have and realise they're not as sh1t hot as they thought they were... so stuff is getting dumbed down all the time... knee deep ditches are deemed dangerous, even when signposted to death...

Regarding missing link - it’s not only the amount of people walking along it, and to this day there are still sooooo many, but the actual trail itself is really boring . The descent are few and far between and last about a minute each. There is a turnoff onto a small jump line which redeems it a bit though, the jumps are alright

hahaha I'm glad to see that as I seemed to be the only one who had such a kak experience when I went that I turned around 3km in, after having to cope with all the runners, dog walkers, other MTB coming the other way... Very unpleasant experience.

I think yo confused Missing Link with most of Tygerberm... :P It's certainly more varied and interesting than the flat bermy monotonous shit out that side that's fo sho ;) Trail has gotten a lot better as there's less traffic not and blown out and even more rocky :) Butt yes, some of the walkers can be a pain in the arse. Not dangerous no, but there are a lot of more technical rocky parts to get through. At least I didn't completely fall off the bike this time in front of ya :P AFIK it has been rerouted to loop back properly now.
@antiherobc4 жыл бұрын
I'm not confused, just not very amused with this trail. It's pretty kak and I would personally much rather ride a trail where I am rewarded for the effort I put in, like some kind of DH. This had no reward for the effort put in. Although majority of T-Bag trails are not good, most of them offer riders a better experience with a mediocre descent.
@CuanL4 жыл бұрын
@@antiherobc Hahaha T-bag, thats a new one I may start using. Yeah Missing Link is definitely built for purpose, i.e. to be able to do a almost 100% dirt ride around the mountain, and now that it's completed (you unfortunately got hamstrung with the fucking TMNP bullshit :( ). I'll drag you out there again sometime I'm sure :P Sometimes all ya need to enjoy a trail is a diff day
