You can't trust that photo someone uploaded on social media which they've labeled as their *perfect* weekend, as it's now highly likely to have some enhancement. I think that both candid and edited photos all have their place, both artistically and for memorializing a moment. I think it's great to have more accessible creative tools - its perfectionism and lack of transparency that cause us to devalue the merits of both types of images. Even in many artistic circles, pure flawlessness is seen to diminish the artistic quality in many works.
