Yes now there is less street markets and most of them have been moved inside indoor markets and the whole historic downtown area is being renovated! lots has changed in 1 year. Also ES has become the safest country in the Americas (safer than Canada).

You’re so knowledgeable. Great video. Regarding the metal church, El Salvador is an earthquake prone country, destroyed many times over by earthquakes, hence there’s nothing left of the colonial era. Therefore at the turn of the last century, full metal buildings were developed in Belgium, you could order them like from a catalogue and they would ship them to you and you put them together. El Salvador ordered a fr¡de that still stand, they are absolute gems. That church is one, the Rosales National Hospital is another….still in use. Then there’s Iglesia El Carmen in Santa Tecla, also from Belgium. Costa Rica is another country that ordered full scale mental buildings from Belgium, one of them is a beautiful theater and another is a magnificent school.

San Salvador was once the capital city of The Republic of Central America, until the province of guatemala decided to betray every other province and become part first mexican empire, los altos and chiapas permanetly became Mexico, and for one year we became mexico until San Salvador fought back to become independent from Mexico, Spain and eventually everyone else, now you know why EL SALVADOR is the Wolverine of Central America, it took the Spanish 20 years to conquer Cuscatlan, with thousands of Mexican allies, El Salvador has always been a stubborn and fighter little place
