This claim was debunked as false by FAAN, but who was behind it and why? Clearly enemies of the Igbos know that AIIA gets very busy during Xmas because of returning diaspora Igbos. Their aim is to discourage the use of the airport and divert traffic to their region during the festive season. That should show you the scale of the animosity Igbos face in Nigeria. Sad.

Thanks for this video. The quest for the upgrade of Endue airport to international status was spear-headed by young Ibos in diaspora miffed by having to access their homeland via other regions. They were joined by home-based Ibos and key leaders including Gen. Ojukwu himself while he was alive. Today that aim is achieved with Ibos and others able to travel the world from Enugu, though more need to be done. But instead of joining in to grow the airport, some people have chosen to be totally obnoxious and irritating with their heckling and snide remarks. Very irritating.

@RadioTV5957 ай бұрын
Bro, You said you are hoping? Please note that the federal government didn't just wake up one day and said: now let us go and build an international airport in Enugu. No. The project came out of the activism of young people like you. An example is Mazi Ezeoke of Njenje Media TV who made it his mission to put pressure on the government and hold them to account. With his camera, he inspected the water supply, toilets, everything until the first international flight landed. So you need to do more yourself, don't just sit there and hope because every little helps.

Ignorant geezer trying to sound knowledgeable. Gatwick Airport in the UK, one of the busiest airports in Europe, is a single runway airport, same as Luton, City, Southend all international airports. Even the famous Heathrow Airport itself has two runways and the plan to build a 3rd one has been stalled due to local agitations. But in your haste to diss Enugu, you only succeeded in making a grand fool of yourself. Next time get your facts right before you go public and make even a bigger fool of yourself. *BTW how many runways did Uli have when it was the busiest international airport in Africa?
