That's one thing that I dislike about reaction videos that feature the music video is that too much attention is paid on the video and not enough on the music itself.

Jayne Mansfield memorial song basically and how she died. The heart shaped pool out her old LA home gives it away as well.

Now that was fantastic, glad how you just got into it and enjoyed. That is what music is all about, it doesn't matter what the genre is or when it's from, it's how it hits you and that's what matters :). Thanks for staying real people, take care!

I saw them way back in the mid-80s at UBC in Vancouver, Canada. A great goth-rock band. Einstürzende Neubauten opened for them.

Thanks so much for reacting to Siouxsie and the Banshees. ❤ They're one of my all time favorite bands, and not too many you tube channels react to them. Glad you enjoyed the song! 👍🏼

The Queen of Punk and Goth,the adorable Susan Janet Ballion,I Got into a lot of trouble bunking off school to go to her Gig back in 1978 and coming back ever so slightly boozed up.

This song samples the beat from Schoolly-D's 1985 Hip-Hop classic 'P.S.K. (What Does It Mean?) which is considered the first "gangsta rap" record... This was definitely a favorite of mine when it dropped on MTV.
@Grizazzle7 ай бұрын
Nope. It was the use of a factory-included beat from a drum machine - the same one that Schoolly-D used - it was not sampled.

This song has always given me chills. I just played the original and three remixes of it today before this video...lol. Check out "Cities in Dust", too. That whole album was an unexpected convergence of the styles of music I grew up with (R & B and Reggae) and became more accustomed to as a young adult (Goth and Punk and Dance) 💓💓

Yes it is about Jayne Mansfield. She said “divoon” ( fabulous). I believe she had a pink swimming pool. She was working in a film Kiss Them for Me. She died in a car accident, unfortunately. There is a lot out there that isn’t true about her -but that’s show biz … May she be at peace.

I've always thought Siouxsie is beautiful in an unconventional way, like a Hollywood screen Godess Jayne Russell type, or Dietrich. In this video geared to crack USA, she's stunning. First saw SATB 1978, and every album tour since in UK last being 1995 . Fabulous

A pity, The Rapture is a very good album (their final album of course). I agree Superstition is quite atypical and very 'pop-y' but I'd give them the benefit of the doubt over it...
