The song is about Jayne Mansfield's death and is a tribute to the old blonde bombshell Playboy actor and star. She would say Kiss Them for Me to her kids, as well as the movie she starred in.

You should check out her side project The Creatures. Amazing in its own right. The Creatures is Siouxsie and her husband (at the time) Budgie who was also the drummer in the Banshees.

I saw them 4 times. First time in 1979 and last time in 1988. They never failed to deliver the goods, even when Siouxsie did a show in a wheelchair.

The guys sitting down are playing Indian instruments - tabla and samvadini. You can find a picture of that exact setup on the wikipedia page for "Indian Harmonium" - another name for the samvadini.

The actual video would've been more appropriate than a TV show lipsync. Talvin Singh's genius percussion really made this track. Having seen them live at least a dozen or more times The Banshees always put on a great show.

Outstanding to see this as a live performance, I've only ever seen the music video before. I have a real history with this album as Superstition came out right when I have begun a brand new relationship and this was kind of our record. Her previous work is brilliant how old though it is more Jagged and it took her a long time to find her groove but each incarnation of the Banshees is special. I can say without a doubt that Tinderbox my favorite album in their discography, as it marks a. Between the very Jagged and punk early years and the more sophisticated and dreamy. That this album represent. Again it's all really good stuff but that one record Tinderbox is particularly bad ass. Great to see that you guys are loving this.

@@nicholasmangialardi1618 Clearly; yes. But I love Siouxie's interaction with the audience as well as to the cameras in this "live" environment. Live as in I guess everyone there is breathing. beyond that, it's cool pantomime.

They cut the song off. The last part is where she alludes to Jayne Mansfield's death in an horrific auto accident. I wonder if that's why they cut it short, but, really, it's in no way explicit.

I don't know what the instrument is called, but both seated musicians are playing instruments from India. I saw a concert video where Nina Hagen was playing the "squeezebox". This is a song about 1950s sex object film star Jayne Mansfield who was decapitated in a car crash. She also had a heart-shaped pool. I'm disappointed that you didn't play "Merry Xmas" by Nina Hagen for Christmas.
