As much as I would want to get a backlight right now for my TV, guess I'll just have to wait for T3 (non-lite) version to come out which hopefully will have the pros of both T2 and T3 Lite combined. Hopefully it's not too far in the future.
@BuildMontage Жыл бұрын
Why wait? The T2 or T3 will work pretty much the same, just the T3 requires more work in calibration due to a single camera. If you have the T2 it's super easy to calibrate with a wider field of view on the camera. Either option is going to perform similarly.

Is it possible to place the camera in the ceiling or somewhere else and have it encompass a full 130"-150" projection? I have Philips Hue Sync and I love it but no way to expand to a bigger size due to the fixed size of the gradient lightstrip. As Govee uses a camera and can sync with any govee lightstrip, not just the one included, I imagine this might be what I'm after? I'd just get all the lightstrip I need, wrap the border of the proyector screen, and adjust the camera to view the whole projection and send it to the lightstrips --but is this possible? Thanks!!!

I get the T2 this Saturday one for my 55" and one for my 75". I really hope I made the right decision. Having the word lite makes the tiers a bit confusing. Sounds like the T2 is still relevant. I read over the other comment answers and it sounds like Give will be having different tiers for the 3 line up.

So whats better? T2 or the t3?
@BuildMontage Жыл бұрын
T2 may be better at some things, like ease of calibration. the T3 is slightly faster though I think.

I currently have the T2. can i just use the same LED and hub then swap the new camera with the T2?

No you can’t. The T2 leds are double the density. If you have the T2 you should be fine.

@BuildMontage got it so the T2 i currently have would be better than the 3 lite ?

Technically yes in terms of dual camera and double the light beads. The t3 has some cool new innovations though which may be pushed to the t2 as well with time.

Hi there. This is off-topic but I’m in the market for a new projector. I presently own the JVC 550 projector. It’s about seven years old and I’m due for a new one. Just today JVC has drastically dropped their prices on both the NP5 and NZ7. I am really fighting between which one to pick. I have a 135 inch elunevision 2.35.1 audioweave acoustically, transparent screen. I also have a completely blacked out dedicated home theater. I don’t really want to spend the extra dollars to move up to the nz7. I know you on the NP5. Are you happy with it or do you wish you bumped it up to the NZ seven laser unit. I love your channel. Keep it up.
@BuildMontage Жыл бұрын
NP5 and NZ7 are the same projector, just different light source. I prefer bulb so I went NP5. If I was to go laser it would be NZ9 or something higher like a Sony GTZ-380. Different ballpark with budget though. NP5 for me is king of that price point. Nothing comes close to contrast ratio.

Ok I just bought last week the T2 for my new Samsung Qled 75in and like the T2s but. They are slow and not exact with the colors on the screen. Budget no issue but wanted easy install and the T2 was so easy…. What do you recommend and should I get the new 3 lite for the 75 when they come out and send the T2 back. I have used for the last 5 years a product called DreamScreen 4k and it was fast and awesome but went out of business a long time ago and needed new.

The T2 is still great and if you have it, I wouldn't be in a huge rush to change it. Work on the calibration possibly to improve the accuracy and try loweing your brightness and saturation may help too!

Is this better than T2? Why is it "lite"?
@BuildMontage Жыл бұрын
It's not "better" as such, it is fast as it has a new processor, plus an additional W diode for white light, but has half the bead density at 30 vs the 60 from the T2 and also a single camera vsthe dual head from the T2 making it a little more time consuming to calibrate. Other than thate, it's a very close experience.

Yes that's exactly it - entry to the market with a cheaper pricepoint and it's actually really good as you can see from my demos. The T2 was easier to calibrate and as you said has double density light beads.

@BuildMontage Жыл бұрын
I dont think "better" is the right way to look at it. It's newer tech, so the colour matching is really good, but the T2 has dual cameras which helps with mapping the screen easier. But overall, I think both seem pretty even in terms of the end result - it will all depend on your budget I think.

I did a budget version of this for $12 by playing movies off my PC, hooking an LED strip up to it and using software to react to the screen. As a bonus it doesn't require a camera sitting on top of the tv so it looks cleaner too.

The way they do the camera now is really minimal - you can barely notice it there. For the price its pretty crazy... you get the camera and all those high quality LEDs as well. DIY is great though - Im a massive DIYer in most things :)
