Bro , I think Noah is even stronger in the 100m than the 200m. His splits are unreal, but the only thing Noah seriously needs to work on is his 60m, because his last 40 meters are insane. If those splits are really accurate from the semi-final, Noah didn’t decelerate at all, if I’m not mistaken?

It was actually predicted to be around 2059, when you extrapolate the 100m WR progression. Aspecially since electronic timing. i didnt like that strut at the end by lyles... i know it was a "joke" or he was just "having fun" but to me it looks like speed was closer than lyles thought he would be so he did that to look like he wasn't trying edit: i'm getting some criticism so lemme clear things up. i KNOW that lyles would blow him out if he tried. i am a part of the track community and respect lyles's speed as much as anybody. but it looks really insecure as a community when we get so butthurt about people genuinely thinking it was close, and it looks a little obnoxious when lyles makes sure everyone knows he wasn't trying by strutting like that. like do we really feel that insecure about how casual fans view the sport? these kind of celebrity events happen pretty often across all sports, and it's OBVIOUS that the pro athlete is not going to try as hard as they can

Why aren't the times for 60 meters faster than the opening 60 in the 100 ? surely these athletes can "drop the hammer" and really give everything they have for 60 meters only instead of racing a race when you have to run a further 40 meters on top of the 60... I would really like to have heard your hypothesis why you think this is the case... because to me, it makes no sense... unless people just don't take these meets as seriously.
