Joseph Fahnbullet definitely has the highest potential to improve the most, he is running amongst the fastest and seemingly has the most to improve on. He is consistently running 20 lows with horrid starts, all he needs is that reaction and drive phase and he will be unbeatable. One of the most fun runners to watch in a long time.

I believe if Michael Johnson gets a hold of Fahnbulleh and starts to work with him then he could improve his starts and if he does that then no record is safe, he is like an aeroplane when he gets up to speed. No because if he had a start he would have less energy reserves for the end of the race. There's only so much energy to burn and if you can conserve some with a slower start you'll be able to use it later but his start isn't a mechanics problem, it's his size and explosiveness. I think he'll get faster but at his size I also think it's very possible he'll put on weight in the next few years and that will slow him down a lot.

@@SDesWriter not necessarily. That may be true is he wasn’t a stride heavy runner. Bolt was next level BECAUSE of his height and stride. This dudes stride is insane. "[9.57 is] one of the fastest final 100ms ever ran in a 200m race" can we have some context for this? It's kinda hard to google. Is it top 10 or top 100 or? Usain's record 200m included a 9.26. Blake allegedly did a 9.12 in 2011 which is the fastest I can find, but it seems people are calculating these from videos and disagree whether it's 9.06 or 9.12 or even 9.2x. You put split times in many of your videos, are you calculating those manually or they're done officially these days?

Fanbulleh has a unique body type and running style as well. HIs second half is so good because his strides lengthen once he is fully up to speed. Although I'm not sure his starts will ever be incredible just based on his body type

I said the same thing. Joseph has a dam good shot if he could run a faster turn. I'm going with him on this one. Crazy stride length and high knees

Fahnbulleh is clearly larger than many of his co-competitors which may partially explain his slower than average start. He has that "future NFL running back look" to me at least. How big is this guy? I couldn't find any size info online.

You know what I like??? I like how this man is blatantly ignoring the 10 000m record set by Letesenbet. Do you know what else I like??? I like how she broke a 55 hour old record and he still isn't covering that. I like that No I don't!!!! Honestly

It's almost as if one leg is longer than the other. However, that top end speed is no joke. Clean up the start and his form and he'll be very hard to beat.

LSU’s Laird is a speedster and very impressive. However, Fannbulleh from Florida appears to be the “sleeper” of the bunch who may peak at the finals of the NCAA. As a side note, he’s only a sophomore and has time to work on his start. Once he matures and gets his start down, he may break Bolt’s 100m record. I say this because he ran the last 100m of the 200m heat in 9.57 at the NCAA championship for 2021. Bolt’s record I believe is 9.58.
