Theo, I am excited to see you took my advice to use a tile or grout sponge to finish the plaster. You really should be able to put just one more coat on top of the scratch coat, let it partly go off and then sponge finish and you will be done. It also allows you to easily contour around all the stones with no sharp edges. You will find a good quality sponge will work much better than a sponge float, which is only really good for relatively flat surfaces. The trick to the sponge is to use the minimum amount of water to get a nice slurry, do a small area and then rinse the sponge clean, wring dry and on to the next area. Make sure you don’t use a regular sponge with big open cells, tile & grout sponges are denser with smaller cells and generally feel heavier. A good tile shop will have them and it’s worth getting a couple so you keep a separate rinsing bucket to save time. You will save a huge amount of work and get a much better finish, good luck and thanks to you both for the great videos.

The vision that you saw with your barn, right from the get go, is so fabulous. I am amazed with your artistic hands in converting this beautifully aged barn into a desirous living quarters. You know one of my favourite things about watching you too. It's not just that I enjoy the family of animals you have and care for, its not just watching you build a beautiful home, it's that when you laugh it's genuine, it isn't forced it's a really natural laugh from the heart. Your sweet Fernando reminds me of the kitty love of my live, Huck (Huckleberry). He was an indoor cat, but when I gardened or was just enjoying our back yard he'd come out with me and never leave my side. In fact, while gardening, I had to be super careful as he would be right on top of me and I was always afraid I'd hurt him with one of the tools. He was such a loving and special boy. We had a really special bond. He loved my husband too, but he was my boy. He slept in my arms every night. I had him for 19 years, but it was not long enough. Both your furry babies are so beautiful. ❤️❤️❤️
