Most of these are bad uses of your kameo meter, especially because of Goro's slow buildup. Shang does 397 damage by himself with no kameo or meter, so effectively many of these routes are not "extensions" but rather "contractions" of Shang's combo damage. When you do manage to go higher than that it is often not by enough to be worth a kameo use in most cases. The 419 damage route is cool though, and so are the bits where you skull-spam just because they are unbreakable. The real use of Goro is making block strings and enforcing skull pressure. His extensions are only useful if you use them from full screen or to facilitate form stealer.

Yeah I agree that Goro shouldn’t be used this way until his meter is buffed. I was just trying to give examples of how Goro can open a lot of routes for Shang, he can give up to 430 damage, I recently uploaded the 430 damage combo yesterday. When you are back on mk ? It’s been a while you didn’t upload guides, where are the morphing guides you talked about ?

@@thesun4892 Well people don't seem super interested frankly. The morph guides are a ton of work, and the Raiden one is my worst performing guide video, and one of my wors tperforming period. I did play some today, and there is a Ermac form steal combo coming tomorrow. I also have a Janet cage Shang guide planned.

@@Dirty_Harambe you will find people who are interested but it might take some time and patience. I enjoy your guides and I still check the kameo guides till today, but one thing I must say that I like the guides where you talk more than the ones with text, it’s easier to follow than pausing to understand each text.

@@thesun4892 I appreciate it. The text ones are because things like combo routes and frame data are best set up so people can pause and imitate what you're describing without needing to rewind and listen repeatedly. But I will consider doing audio on the shapeshifter guides.

I was expecting to see some kind of pressure strategy not combo extentions, shang dont need that he does good damage alone without kameos. What shang need is pressure and nothing else to ensure than projectiles chip them down and make it easier to open them up.

@@daquancurry7805 I was just trying to give ideas on how an ideal way should be if Goro was gonna get buffed, not that this the optimal way before Goro was buffed but now he got the buff it’s a totally different approach to this Kameo.

@@daquancurry7805 he needs more up close pressure tools, boy is still not that good up close, yeah they gave him all the new moves but it’s totally dependant on the Kameo that the opponent is using, basically they just made another Shujinko but as a main roster character, even the new f34 is not really a mix up, we been asking for buffs for a whole year yet they give Liu Kang a new move no one even asked for, nrs is just dog water.

Totally agree, Goro’s cooldown is very bad and his combo extensions need damage buff because to be honest they are not easy to do.

But that’s meterless 40% after all after a mid that isn’t terribly hard to land and as Goro cools down Shang can already get a cool 39 by himself with a little age morph combo so the drawbacks for Shang aren’t terrible but yeah Goro definitely needs a buff
