Just came across your channel, fantastic content mate! Also, on behalf of all of us thank you for taking the effort to introduce Indonesian Cuisine to the world (at least to the UK at first). Indonesian cuisine is very diverse, with all the variety of ingredients, spices and influence it has a lot of flavours suitable for everyone. Babi Guling is a part of the diverse cuisine that Indonesia has just like Nasi Padang. Farahar on the other hand is a part of small minority of complex human being who just came back from the 14th century and trying to adapt to current social norm. But if they said babi guling is one of traditional food yes it is, but not as represent food tho. @@eupphemia rendang is also a traditional food like babi guling, gado gado, gudeg, etc. The difference is because islam prohibited eating pork, babi guling is consumed by only the non muslim and foreigners thus could never be lifted to national level, as other non halal dishes from non muslim region in indonesia. If you truly wanted to serve foods that represents Indonesia (whole nation), then it's nasi goreng, bakso, mi goreng, sate ayam, nasi campur, nasi kuning and the likes. And the first three sourced from chinese dishes.

I’ve watch a lot of foreign KZbinrs trying to spread Indonesian food to the world, but there is one dish that I still haven’t seen you guys tried: Saksang, a traditional food of Batak people of North Sumatera. It is a minced pork (yes, pork, because North Sumatera is a predominantly Christian area of Indonesia) stewed in pork blood (yes you heard that right again, pork blood), with some spices, one of them spices is unique to North Sumatera: andaliman. Accompanied with local booze, tuak, and you have a perfect meal. You should try it.
