I'm so grateful for your tutorials. You're always articulate! For instance that tutorial u made about Cinema 4D. I've never had anyone explain it as easy as you did. Thank you sir! Keep it up!

To your question, “Pretty cool, right?” I say VERY COOL! And thanks for an especially informative lesson with bells and whistles to help us better understand HSL. You’re the best teacher because you explain complex things in easy to understand language (few engineers know how to explain things plainly!) and with detailed examples. And you inspire me in my work and I produce better videos and audio tracks thanks to you.

Oh wow, thanks! I guess I take time to explain things because I absolutely hate when I don't get valuable info; which is way too often in the world today. When I worked at Adobe, it drove me nuts reading user guides because they NEVER tell you want to do if it doesn't work that way.

Thank you Colin for another extremely informative and helpful tutorial. I don't intend to be in the industry of digital editing for a living. But, I faithfully watch your tutorials, to learn how to use Adobe Pr Pro, to edit my own videos for KZbin and the Internet, until the day comes I can afford to pay someone else to do the editing for me. Thank you. Appreciative Pr Pro beginner. Happy Creating!

Wow.... I have found your videos so well explained and concise... I have question and is not related to this particular video and I have searched your channel but can't find it... basically I need to know if you have one video where you explain how you compress or export the videos in Premiere CC2019 to have the maximum quality but small size... I see this video plays at 1080p and is 13 minutes long and yet the size of the MP4 is only 152MB when I check it with JDownloader, your video looks so crispy... how you do that?? I am using CC2019 and I have tried to export for example a video I shoot with Canon SL2 at 1080p in MP4 format and is only 3:21 minutes, I selected "KZbin 1080 Full HD" as the Preset in the Export settings, no changing anything else, and the size is 392MB, if I select "High Quality 1080p HD" I got 489MB... When I tried to modify the Target Bitrate down from 16 to 10, I still get a 248 MB size... I have tested bringing it down to 2 and then I get small size of 55MB but when I play the video looks bad, like squary... is it something to do with the Sequence settings instead? My sequence settings are 1440 x 1080... is the squary as a result that in the export window the presets above are set to 1920 by 1080 and my sequence is 1440x1080? sorryl... too many questions... if you have a video on this, jcan you please post the link? Thanks sir!

The exported 1080p file for this episode, was 1GB in size. So what you're downloading is something completely different that I did not create. I just use the KZbin 1080p preset.

@@VideoRevealed Thanks for your reply! I see... ok, so that means that youtube somehow compress the video after posting... ok... I will use the "KZbin 1080 preset" as you do and will let youtube to do the compression... thanks very much for clarifying! I am going through more tutorials of your site... so thankful for what you do... I just made a paypal contribution to your channel... small, but I will try to do more in the future... and it was surprise that you have that special members area after donation.... I am in Canada too! Thanks very much and God keep you blessed!

thank You for video and overall effort! in the gradient example 201-7= 194, so the second point Hue 0+194 =194, 3rd and 4th = 199 stylistically could be closer to original desing ;)
@VideoRevealed4 жыл бұрын
I have to disagree. My first choice for blue is 201, exactly. It is a new colour and not connected at all the the red. Therefore all subsequent colours are based on this new value.
@ivanroslyakov58554 жыл бұрын
@@VideoRevealed thanks for explanation! I rewatched the episode and have got your idea - of getting into one same hue of blue. Mine math above was considered to the original red-variations of gradient with shown values of 7, 0, 5, 5...

Hi Colin. Thanks for all your great content. I have a question I can't seem to find an answer to. I shoot Sony LOG footage and whenever I begin colour correctingI always struggle to understand how much contrast I should use. Is there a rule of thumb method most colourists stick to or any advice to not over-contrast the image? Most info simply says make sure the RGB parade reaches both 0 and 100 however I find this often leads to a nasty looking image. Thanks in advance.
@VideoRevealed5 жыл бұрын
You should be applying the proper Sony LUT before you do anything else. In the Basic Correction of the Lumetri Panel. Finding that LUT can be a challenge and you'd have to contact Sony for that. There is no single setting for contrast, it's all about serving the story. Here's some info related to that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJ7HgHxuhNWclZo The scene from Social Network is a real mind blower, that's not a typical grade but it works for the story.
