one thing to add about email lists, you never know when a social media platform is going to become obsolete... who remembers myspace. Think of the amount of bands who lost contact with their fans after that platform died

Yes, absolutely. Also consider when platforms change direction - we spent years gathering likes on Facebook, but now our audience rarely see our posts unless we hand over money.... That wouldn't be an issue with mailing lists. Don't "build on rented land"

Very true. I've been a Musician and Artist most my 46 years of life. I now create music for film soundtracks and sell my Art online. But yes, I am interested in increasing everything I do through Patreon. Would love to get my music and art much more noticed and sold with Patreon. Fingers crossed I can do this through Patreon. This is a FREE Service right? Definitely interested.

How can I add videos to Patreon without using Vimeo or KZbin, is there other sites I can use it to upload videos then put it in Patreon?! Because Vimeo is paid site and KZbin maybe doesn't allow me to upload on it because it's guidelines

Haha, yeah, I'm still basically a fan, (we have a podcast with like 4 fans), but the issue is discoverability - you can't really make it work unless you already have an attentive audience. They could make it more of a social network but I'm sure that has it's own issues

Ethereal Music Good question - unfortunately you pretty much need a solid following before Patreon really becomes viable. There's a chance people will find you on there but it's not likely - well , with Patreon as is.

Hey Huck, We're not CURRENTLY using the Stabbed Panda Patreon page as, frankly, we have nothing to offer - rather the info we've gathered is from a podcast's Patreon, (The Conversation Hat) owned by the same company who own us, (Odd Creative LTD) - as well as conversing with bands we know to have success with the site. We are, however, plotting "something" over summer of this year so it may be worth your while to follow the page for updates. Cheers!

Also if you’re going to play music in the background while you’re speaking try using something like classical and put it on low so one can hear you easily without frustration. The music you had was most annoying and distracting. What you have to offer is too valuable to be lost. God Bless
