He says this for two reasons. The first, and most obvious, is that he can claim he beat the game on the "hardest" difficulty. The second is that he'll never touch Hardcore because he said it was easier, and why would he replay the game on an "easier" difficulty? It keeps him from having to suck all over again in this game and strokes his ego at the same time. If there's one thing DSP does well, it's mental gymnastics, because Lord knows he doesn't have the athleticism for actual gymnastics.

I just can't stand how he has to make it a show when he bans people like he needs to stroke that ego of his because he's doing something that he's supposed to if people are acting up in his chat. Dead Space 2 is in my top 3. I even learned to read Unitology writing. Phail used stasis piss poorly, and unbelievably never upgraded it, crucial on zealot and hardcore. But his biggest fail is never using necromorph limbs as weapons with Kinesis. I can’t recall him doing it even once. Plus, it’s super fun and saves a ton of ammo. It’s video game ballet to stasis a necromorph, cut off an arm and grab it midair with kinesis, then fire it into its torso, sending it flying across the room and harpooning it into the wall with its own arm. Seeing him constantly struggling with around ten or less ammo between 3 guns was cringey. I am actually surprised he didn’t need a hard game reset at a few points. His style of beating DS2 is the epitome of tihydp. I actually want to watch his uploads to see how he managed to overcome some of the game where he is almost without ammo and health. I will give him credit for beating the game on zealot, but he does it in the most painful, least artful way possible, and makes the game not look fun.

THAT'S WHY THEY PEEK LIKE 3 TIMES THEN MAKE A HUGE NOISE WHEN THEY'RE ABOUT TO CHARGE. Also one of the main problems DPS has is that he relies on right stick aiming FAR, FAR too much when using a controller, he ignores strafe aiming completely. I mean seriously, the subtleties of game design are completely lost on this guy despite playing games being his "JOB" for nearly 10 years. Pretty sure too that the 2nd highest and highest difficulties in DS2, the only difference is the save thing, damage output and damage taken is the same. Sorry last edit :P
