To give some clarification, it's a tool called an "Evoker" which is a fake gun that they fire at their head to trigger a persona since they can only trigger theirs through a strong feeling (either that or they replicate the act of death)

It's a 100 hours game, he either rage quit again, or put it on hold, or take a lot of breaks due to not having a lot of views and comes back to it being clueless and blame the game for his mistake, or he rushes it like any other games he played. It doesn't matter it's still suck that he will play this, I'm going to buy it and enjoy my time with it and after I beat it I will watch his playthrough to see if he fucks it up, he probably play it on Safety mode though.

I'll be picking up my copy a little later and playing it on Hard as now I've found myself enjoy certain games like Kingdom Hearts and Persona on Hard. It'll be a pain in the ass but at least it's finally freaking here. Phil will still manage to screw up a bunch because as you said, he'll rush, rush, rush, and then struggle at the boss fight because he's not familiar enough with the game or gotten the right skills that would make the boss easier. Overall, he shouldn't be playing RPGs periods because he can't invest real time and I mean get really involved in the games narrative or gameplay because it's all just a job to him. He didn't experience the turmoil Persona fans did when this game kept getting delayed or follow all the articles. Persona 5 has the advantages of being released in Japan first and we've seen the glowing reviews. Phil only cares about views and money.

Update: add the Mana Beast as well from the Secret of Mana remake. He didn't have any MP or Faerie Walnuts so he couldn't use Mana Magic which is the only thing that hurts the boss. Since the autosave was right before the boss and his last manual save was an hour previous (though he says 2 hours in his excuse because he thinks we can't see his gametime or video length) as justification that it's a waste of time to try again and the game is poorly made because it's not his fault he never leveled his magic up making the previous boss drain all his resources.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the game, the reason he misses attacks so often is twofold. 1. He is ABSOLUTELY under-leveled EVERY step of the way through the game. The game actually takes your levels/stats pretty seriously with the dodge mechanic, so if you aren't up to snuff, you actually will miss more often. If there's a big enough difference, then the attacker will be completely unable to land a hit. For either side. 2. He also has a bad habit of letting his characters get "tired". If they're in the dungeon too long, or they're just having a bad day beforehand, they'll have that status and it drastically lowers all of their stats, causing them to miss even MORE. tl;dr They miss because he's an idiot who doesn't engage with the game.

Don't know if this would count as a 3rd reason because you touched on levels and stats for why DSP is missing attacks but I'd also add the fact that it seems like he's not using the accuracy/evasion buff and debuff. I say "seem" because I'm too lazy to watch the full DSP playthrough to count how much he is using buffs/debuffs. Megaten and by extension, Persona are notorious for how much of a game changer buffs and debuffs can be for battles. But yeah, there's some fights where the gimmick is that you need to get those accuaracy/evasion buffs and debuffs up and those buffs and debuffs can help in basic fights too.

Bruh you're insane. I was level 75 and took me 8 fucking tries only because Night Queen kept putting Fear on my character after Moonlight gown. And since I would have everyone wait, I would get crit and robbed of two turns, only to die in the next one because nobody could heal me :(

@@keeysOST - Legit, all you need to do is keep your buffs up and have an ample supply of items to bail you out of bad spot. Team composition also plays a big role. They either have to be hard hitters or good at support. Having Ken, Junpei, Mitsiru, or the dog in that fight is like asking to have an albatross weighing you down. I'll also say that issuing "Wait" commands in that fight is asking to be steamrolled when you have party members with good support. Yukari can make sure the party's at 100%. Aegis can cast party buffs. Akihiko can cast debuffs. The MC can top of anyone's MP. You're up against a boss that takes two turns at a time. You have to be as efficient as possible.

It's okay to suck at a game, I'm pretty shit at Persona (still love it) but the thing that makes me hate Phil is how he never accepts responsibility for sucking. It's not the games fault he's bad at it. When I get stomped its because I'm shit, I couldn't fuse a lot of personas because I ignored a lot of quests. actually they only get level 78 in portable, for the great seal speedrun (no skipping nyx with the tanaka glitch) in FES they get the protag to level 85 to be fair that's only because, in FES, you can beat the reaper using odin's thunder reign, which has 100% chance of shock, meaning every phys attack will crit the reaper, and in FES, if you leave an enemy knocked down, they waste their turn getting back up, so you can just make the reaper unable to do anything, and once you beat the reaper you get access to the monad depths where like every encounter levels you up
