Honest question. Does Phil know that you can block both high AND low? Because he always acts so surprised when he's blocking and gets hit, it's the only explanation. Maybe it's just because I lack any aptitude for or particular interest in fighting games, but the idea of some damage as being 'earned' whereas other damage is 'unearned' seems to be on roughly the same intellectual level as whining about 'noob-tubers' on CoD or demanding that all Smash games you play have no items, no characters besides Fox and be restricted to Final Destination. Namely, a way to bitch and moan which has the handy side-benefit of sucking the fun out of the game.

But again, nobody cared about that tournament because it was generally agreed to be a botched port that they weren't told they would be playing. Other than that, he hasn't done anything particularly noteworthy. It's possible he's won local tournaments (he's at least claimed on his forums to have won Tekken tournaments), but who knows.

I also consider myself ass at fighting games, (In ultimate my main team is Ghost Rider (bnb is 8 buttons) on CoR, Nemesis (magic series->ground bounce->magic series->wall bounce->magic series->launcher->air rave->super) on launcher slam and Amaterasu (mash forward heavy) on cold star.) but I know that my Iron Man (who I play on point with Strange and Akuma) is a lot better than the one that Phil was complaining about cheating with Servbot Surprise->Proton Cannon. Also no matter where he is on the screen he will use Electromagnetic Disruptor if Akuma's assist hits, even if he's in the corner and could easily confirm into his """"""""bnb combo."""""""" And BTW Phil, no matter how hard you mash that Hyper Gravitation input, it will not come out faster and suddenly combo.

The sad thing about DSP and fighting games is I think 90% of his problem, no matter the game, is that he's too lazy to look up frame data or even a basic list of safe moves. So he ends up doing completely random moves and never fails to get hit during the start up or block punished.
