This is the new 2023 Expedition and in this video I am going to break down every single thing you need to know BEFORE placing your order. The new Expedition is available in 6 different trim levels, 14 different equipment groups, 10 colors, and 2 different lengths, and countless options. The Ford Expedition sits on a chassis that was introduced in the 2018 year model, and Ford recently did a mid-cycle refresh on the 2022 model. So there will be a lot of similarities comparing the 2022 year model to the 2023 model year.
The 2023 Expedition is available as an XL, XLT, Timberline, Limited, King Ranch, and Platinum Trim Levels! The Expedition can be ordered as a 2 wheel drive or a 4 wheel drive. Nearly every trim level on the expedition can be ordered as a short wheel base or as the longer Expedition Max!
All expeditions will have a 3.5L ecoboost V6, but depending on the trim level you can end up with different horsepower numbers! For instance the Stealth Performance Package has a 3.5L engine, but it is the "High Output" version of this engine.

i ordered a new 2022 expedition limited with the 303a trim level 4-4 . it took five months to pick it up at dealer very smooth ride and quiet a lot of technology to learn. my color is iconic silver metallic i love it

We bought a 2022 XLT and it is more than enough. The bigger screen and a few bells and whistles are not worth the 20K higher price tag you see on these higher-end trims. I will mention to those shopping that the regular Copilot 360 you get on the XLT trim is more or less hands-free driving, ok, yes, you have to put your hands on the wheel sometimes (really safer, if you think about it) but you can "rest" your hands and jiggle the wheel every so often and the car more or less drives itself with lane keep and adaptive cruise control. The automatic running boards to me is not really any gain, just another thing to break. The bigger screen is a gimmick and maybe even less attractive. Our car gets about exactly the mpg as stated, 16 on the streets and 22 on a long highway drive, which is fine. About the only thing you get on higher trims I would like is the auto parking feature. This is a big vehicle and picking a space is a different experience with this long and wide of a car. I make use of the 360 camera and manage, but a car this size that parks itself would be pretty awesome. Not worth 20k though.

We own and 08 Reg Length Eddie Bauer Expedition and a '15 Max Platinum. After owning a Max I would never go back to the Reg Length, that extra foot is so nice for storage.

It is so amazing that in this generation, there are so many options of virtually anything to choose from making videos like this very expedient otherwise, one would spend so much money only to get so little value for the money. The Expedition is a really good looking vehicle. I had a 2016 Platinum and it seemed ancient compared to the 23. I was at my dealer a couple of months ago have some accessories added to my Tremor and they brought a black Limited with the stealth performance package. I almost wished I'd bought one of those.

Great video. Please do a video on the 2023 F-150 Tremor. Pacifically the fact that the standard engine is now a V8. Is the V8 a good thing or was the V6 turbo boost a much better choice. And, when will we be able to order one? Thanks for all your great videos.

With my personal experience, the 3.5L ecoboost V6 is JUNK. I had the cam phasers replaced on my 2018 F150 due to them being a recall and rattling. Not a day later the truck was broke down with metal shavings all throughout the engine. The dealership ended up replacing the engine free of charge, but the process took months and was a painful experience. I'll never own another Ford once I finally get rid of it. They have been making engines with shady cam phasers since 2004 apparently.

So looking on fords website it looks like that 304a package only comes with the 12 b&o speakers, not the b&o unleashed that you have listed in your spec sheet. Any idea if ford truly does still offer (and let’s you order) the unleashed audio 22 speakers within the 304a package selected?? Thank you!

Does the HO engine require 93 octane? I like the idea of the “limited stealth performance” but not if it’s gonna require 93 at the pump. My tuned and built 2018 Mustang GT premium Convertible already fills that quota.

Lease is up on our 2020 explorer xlt is 425 a mo. 12k year. Just tax down. 3 young kids. Expected to pay 6-7ish for new expedition. Even know a ford guy for a 525 mo. lease with tax down was told. Now with everything going on. Chips. No availability. They want 1300 a mo.. what should do, should I add another 6 months on lease but i lose the biy back price, but than hopefully things blow over. Run the full term of a finance and you're looking north of $100 thousand. Where is Ford justifying these insane prices? Not to mention if the EV market continues the current trend.
