Not the way it works. When you pass a potential spot, you back up, turn on the feature, drive past it, and the car will measure for fit and will park it for you, or say no. It's great for less skilled parkers or people not used to parking on the other side of the street or backing in. admittedly, the parking process can be a bit unnerving, but it works pretty well. I have blue cruise in a f150. Would never use it more than a few seconds just playing with it. Certainly would not pay to use it. That’s what they need to discontinue. And is the quality any better on the 2025’s? The previous years have gotten terrible quality and dependability scores. Transmission problems seem to be the worse thing.
@chiefofficer5lj1810 ай бұрын
I believe the quality would be better. With the 2020-2023 I know they were low scored because of focus on the new drivetrains and not really on the interior offerings, carrying over most of, or even less, interior features than the 2019s. Therefore a lot of people disagreed with the higher price tags compared to other vehicles in the class. So far the interior looks a lot better and has better offerings than the last few years, especially in the tech and infotainment areas. I would hope they took care of the 3.0 valve issues and transmission shifting problems, but with Ford's QC flukes as of late, I suppose we shall see. I just got a 2019 Platinum AWD and love it, aside from the transverse drive train. If I had the money I would've waited for the 2025 but I can't justify spending double for new and then eating that depreciation. With 40k on my '19, I can afford to wait a few years to upgrade and see how well the updates perform.

Ford is making huge mistakes in eliminating the trim levels they have. Here in the Midwest by far the most popular trims are the XLT and the Limited. By far the majority of buyers are 50+ years old. Seems they are wooing the younger buyers with the street rod blacked out versions. That may not go over here as well as they had hoped. Those buyers want state of the art technical features that only come on the Platinum or not even offered at all. HUD for instance. Ford is falling far short on features. I test drove a 2024 Limited a couple weeks ago and found the 4 cylinder engine to be very buzzy and the transmission shifted erratically. Was not impressed at all. Nearly every other car maker offers more for less money. We are in the market for a midsize 3 row SUV and have now eliminated the Explorer.
