Sorry for commenting so late to this upload, but I just had to say a few things... Damn dude! This is fantastic! My son recently got into sim type games that aren't true car "racing" titles, and this guide was incredible! He somehow missed the tutorial at the beginning an immediately got kinda frustrated, and wasn't having fun. He asked me to try to fix it, and after playing his initial profile... I was lost as to what the hell was supposed to happen! Lol! I watched this video at work yesterday, came home and got my profile started, and basically forgot to eat dinner, and stayed up til like 2 AM! When my lil mans mom dropped him back off earlier tonight... He was and still is absolutely impressed with your work, and loves that he was so easily able to follow along and understand what to do! He even asked to have an extra chore if he could stay up til 10 on a school night to play! I'm a hardcore ATS dude, and this just made my world so much more interesting! Thanks a ton! From two new cats to SnowRunner, and two of yer newest fans! Keep up the epic content!

I've been starting and restarting this game for years, never getting more than 4% in without just giving up, after wrestling with the mud after the right turn from the first garage. I've never even seen half of this stuff. 😂 KZbin felt sorry for me and planted this right in my recommendations

What's really absurd is how freaking useful the advice about using the handbrake when going down hills and the tip about using the clutch to control what you would normally assume is an automatic transmission. Those two little comments make Michigan and the rest of the game SO much more pleasant than the stupid comments about rushing to go get the Tayga. Because at the end of the day, you learn literally nothing about the game if you start out with OP handling and power, and you'll get frustrated that much more easily about simple failures like flipping over literal feet away from your objective, or breaking an axle and tire on a hidden stump or stray pebble.

I agree 100% with everything you said 👍

The blocked road at 13:27 … I was surprised to see it still blocked, largely because the gateway to Smithville was functional. I’m amazed that wasn’t blocked. I do love the 1500’s big engine, but I also love the Scout 800. Absolutely using the engine sell strategy to get the 800’s autonomous winch earlier.
@zorshix4 ай бұрын
That road block stays there until you finish the tutorial. The rest of the Region is open for discovery. I've gone all the way through Island Lake and Drummond Island before doing the tutorial. I also am a big fan of the Scout 800 and it is my go-to scout for Michigan. It's kind of convenient that selling that engine gives you the exact amount needed for the autonomous winch. 🙂

@@zorshix I've been watching and rewatching a guy called KnullModem but he stopped recording a while ago, maybe you have heard of him. He also did a really good job. Really glad that you are doing this, watching someone play Snowrunner is just so relaxing and soothing. Hope you are doing addons as well! Keep it up my friend!
@zorshix9 ай бұрын
Yes! I was with KnullModem from the beginning watching his videos as they released. He's an absolute Legend and was the first person to really teach me this game. I was so bummed when he stopped posting 2 years ago but we all have life circumstances that push us different directions. Since then I've always wanted to start my own series (heavily inspired by him) and now I'm doing it. I leaned heavily on his editing style for the first part of the Michigan series because I'm new to it and had no idea what I was doing, but as time has gone on (about 4 months now since I started) I've learned alot and am now starting to evolve into my own. All the credit goes to him for his ingenious and meticulous video editing that just pulls you in and leaves you wanting for more. I always hoped he would come back, but 2 years later I've finally gotten the courage to take the leap myself and plan to keep going with it through the whole game. Cheers and keep truckin'!

bit late to the party but first thing I did was get all the watchtowers. And offcours ignore the upgrades... But this has gotten me into some serious trouble. I have all trucks on stock so no raised suspensions, AWD or others. Its q bit more challenging to do the game on hard mode without any upgrades.
@zorshix2 ай бұрын
It's definitely a lot more difficult to do it without upgrades. It might be worth taking the scout out and just running around to get them all

Im completely new to SR. Thanks for the help. But im not sure if you mentioned it or not, but where do you refuel ?
@zorshix3 ай бұрын
You can refuel at the gas stations, any fuel tankers or trucks you find out in the wild, and the garage. You can also purchase a fuel trailer from the trailer store, or a tanker addon for your truck and take it with you.
@DirtydogMech3 ай бұрын
@zorshix oh ok thanks. I found myself "cheating" by going back to recover at the garage. I just started so maybe I just haven't found the fuel station yet. The game is confusing. I went to try and first task/contract at the farm put realized I didn't have a trailer to load the supplies onto. I'll start to figure it thanks. I'll use your methods
@zorshix3 ай бұрын
@DirtydogMech yeah the game doesn't really explain anything. One tip: wait to do the trucking jobs until a little later when you get some upgrades and rank up a bit to unlock better stuff in the garage. I usually try to use the scouts to explore first because you can get better tires for them at a lower rank than the trucks.
@DirtydogMech3 ай бұрын
@zorshix thank you that makes sense. I also noticed that you start 2 almost new games 1 at the garage and 1 in the "tutorial" section. Is that normal? Also thanks for always showing the map. Other videos, players just keep on driving as I'd we know where they're going. But you take the moment to pause and show the map. Thanks
@zorshix3 ай бұрын
@DirtydogMech yeah it's normal, the tutorial can be skipped and the real game begins at the garage in Black River. I try to remember to show the map but at times I forget because I don't usually reference it often when playing. It's something I'm working on.
@kilex28997 ай бұрын
Hey ive been wanting to get back to the game cause of the new dlc but want to do it in hard mode. Your playthrough looks very efficient. How viable is your run. Only saw the first 5 eps so far but did you need to recover due to lack of fuel or teleport to garages later on?
@zorshix7 ай бұрын
I haven't had to recover once from lack of fuel. I'm basically playing as I would in hard mode, (since that's where most of my experience is) except I use gas stations to refuel and I wouldn't do that in hard mode. There are times when I turn in mission fuel trailers earlier than I normally would because I don't need the free fuel as much in normal. Mostly the same but the differences would be in turning in fuel trailers.
@kilex28997 ай бұрын
@zorshix yeah that's fair also the auto fuelup very time you leave garages I'm gonna have to work around as well. But that's the challenge of hard mode lol

You stated you play on xbox. I noticed that it looked like you used a mouse (arrow pointer) when making waypoints. Please and Thank you. :)

@zorshix2 ай бұрын
The yellow box to turn in materials should be on the west side of the bridge (same side you started the game on). There are two steps to the process, accepting the contract and tracking it. It will need to be tracked to turn in the materials.
