bro ... flightstone will go directly in ur monney inventory then at some point ull stop looting whelp and drake fragment cuz u wont even do the content where ur looting them and IF u need them u can downgrade the higher one into lower crest if needed so at some point ull have only the higher currency in ur back

Question - I'm doing level 18 keys, but gearing is very slow. Are you supposed to get most of your gear from Mythic? Should I keep pushing higher and higher level keys for gear, or should I take time to craft gear? (or switch to raids?)

You should be spamming 16+ for the focus things, then crafting 418 gear as when the patch hits the crafted 418 becomes 421

So do I need both Flightstones AND Crests to upgrade an item? If I get an iLevel 402 drop, that is a Veteran 1/8. I want to upgrade it to 2/8. I need Whelpling crests. But to get Whelpling crests I need to combine fragments. Do I also need the Flightstones? Will the upgrade be 100 Flightstones and 1 Whelpling Crest for example? And so this wonderful crest system could potential take up 8 bag slots. Fragments stacks for each crest type and then the crests themselves. So not a fan of this system.

Are the fragments locked weekly but with catchup? Like how with valor if you didnt get all 750 one week you could get the rest the next week? or is it a flat 150 a week?

i have a dumb doubt: my current equipment will have this rating? for example: i have 411 2h axe from Raz(H), that means it will "transform" into a Veteran 4/8 automatically? or this applies only to items obtained after may 2nd? if it's like the first option, i think a lot of raiders or high m+ players wont change their equipment until very far in the season. and they will get to 430+ in a couple of weeks.

I thought you could upgrade the gear all the way up... This means that if I'm looting a BiS item from an M+ 6-10, I cannot upgrade that item into max ilvl? I have to get that item from M+ 11-15?

Wait so is it possible to accidently waste your crests upgrading the wrong things? Then get behind others if you upgraded a piece of gear you later realize isnt good or you dont need?

I think if you upgrade the "wrong" thing you'll get the cheaper upgrade costs on the next item in the same slot up to the same level. So Shoulder A are upgraded, Shoulders B drop and have better stats. You can cheaply upgrade Shoulder B to the same level als Shoulder A. I have a feeling this system will make more sense once we're knee deep in the patch.

This system seriously makes it more painfully, if i were to check wowhead correctly, it says for you to receive an item 428 (Champion) you need to do +17s keys, BUT if you do 17s keys you will get Aspect crests, which you cannot use to upgrade the 428 because you need WYRM crests which are given from 11-15s, so in other words you have to go back and do 11-15s, in order to upgrade that ilvl 428 until you can use your aspect crests, but if you do those 11-15s , you will get ilvl 418-424 which are on the "normal drake brackets" meaning the 424 ilvl item you have, you cannot upgrade it anymore right? so it will stay 424 and staying useless? that is how i am understanding it, honestly it's really confusing, concept sounds good but i don't think it will be fun to do these, i have seen that you can sell higher crest for lower in the new zone, so hopefully that fixes it i guess because it will be a pain.

my understanding is theres a vendor in the new zone that allows you to derank your emblems (like in classic) so you would be able to do that to upgrade old gear

1st it isnt champion cuz 428 ilvl share with hero so 5/8 champion is equiavlent as 1/5 hero and as naguraa said u get the highest ranks so here HERO 1/5 2 u then need aspect crest to upgrade it that u loot from m+16 to 20 so the dificulty that u loot it 3 imagine u get instead a 424 CHAMPION 4/8 u can upgrade it up to 437 CHAMPION 8/8 that is equivalent of HERO 4/5 and downgrade your aspect crest into drake quest to upgrade it via a vendor so u dont lost anything

cap is 2k stones first week so if yu upgrade example +6 key gear yu wasted your stones kek as i see it yu need +17 then yu trow all upgrades into it so when yu think about it m+ system is garbage if any with brain read this dont spent flight stones :)
