Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 5 almost had me with thinking Yuji was actually dead. However at the end of the episode its revealed he's alive. The thing is though... the way the animators used the time-skip made it seem like he was really gone. JJK is shaping up to be a incredible series with each passing episode. Can't wait to see more next week in Episode 6.

It's like Death Note's Light vs L except it's not just 2 characters who are insanely smart. All the main cast and main villains are smart as heck! Even the side kick! Plus, the best part about it is that the 2 main characters are a middle-aged couple. It's no longer the teenagers saving the world. It's the adults doing whatever necessary to protect their family. Basically story starts with the mc accidentally killing his daughter's abusive boyfriend who's part of a crime syndicate and he has to cover up his track from the police AND the crime syndicate after the guy's killer. His wife is his sidekick and she's srsly the best waifu. She's smart af and always there for him when he needs her. You gotta check it out!!!

JJK was already one of my favourite manga's to read, but God I am shocked how good this adaptation has been, the pacing, the animation, ost, everything top-notch. The most important aspect for me is the pacing, this pacing is perfect, as someone that watch the episodes, then go back to the manga to compare, the studio hasnt missed a beat, if anything it adds to the source material and as a fan thats the best you can hope for. Anime if done well will always be a better medium than manga and when you have such a good source material and put in the extra effort in the adaptation, this is the result, lol scary thing it only get better folks, the hype is real, this series is about to blow up, perfect mix of action & story. Long may this great adaptation continue.

I love how megumi get one hit and sent to the hospital by a low level in ep1 but here, he was being rag dolled by the King of Curses dragon ball style with him being punched so hard he breaks through walls but brushes it off next morning like it was nothing.

That was one nitpick I had with this episode, it looked awesome but didn't make a ton of sense, like I would've bought it if he was really beaten up and bloody at the end but he just had some bruises. Maybe there's a reason behind it that the show will get into, because otherwise this show has been good at making its characters feel mortal and realistic despite the over the top setting.

The anime exagerated this fight a little bit the moment Sukuna threw him in the air Nue immediately came in to block Sukuna's attack while he did get caught off guard with the 2nd grade curse which caused him to be injured that badly it still is weird to see it happen

@@1stclassdork578 megumi literally could of just trained. Plus in the manga I thinks it’s worst because we have nue covering a super large distance and getting to megumi faster then sukuna can punch. This is bad because with this feat, inconsistent and shitty people tried to make a toji downplay wave, and get kamo above toji and 3 finger sukuna. And people who is above kamo by saying stuff like kamo is faster then nue who is much faster then sukuna and toji stated relative to sukuna which ofc got debunked and they stopped it. But they still tried nothing less, atleats with this scene not only does it look cool but there’s really nothing wrong with it if you truly think about it. Later in the episode nobara said that it’s been 2 weeks since the events of episode 3, meaning he just trained, and in that episode we see sukuna like he’s not going all out and he’s making sure not to kill megumi ofc.he wanted to have fun first (if he truly just wanted to kill him on the spot he would of used domain or just done it before he noticed since he said he could do that in episode 4, and megumi didn’t even see sukuna move when sukuna first walked up to him) so It’s clear sukuna was just pulling his punches all while dealing with a stronger megumi.

The reason why God of High school adaptation was as bad as it was is because Crunchyroll forced MAPPA to cram 112 chapters in only 13 episodes which is stupid, they did not give them enough budget to make enough episodes to do it right. Toho is the producer for JJK not Crunchyroll and Toho has a great track record so you can expect a splendid adaptation for JJK. Keep in mind that the producers are the ones who gave the studios the budget and decide how many chapters should be adapted not the studios.

Not sure if anyone has told you this but there's a prologue Volume 0 for JJK that tells a short story that takes place before JJK featuring the second years (Panda, Maki, Inumaki). A bunch of them get introduced there and as such they don't get an explanation for their ... quirks in the main series. It's recommended that you read it since it helps world building and the MC of it gets namedropped in the main series later on.

Yuji has more progression in five episodes than most shonen Mcs have in 4 seasons. Geges story telling is really on a TOGASHI level if not the closest thing to it. I’ve waited since 2001 for another shonen series to give me the same mature and deep story as yu yu hakusho. With legit cool characters. Not just cool looking to 15 year olds. A series men could look at and fan over the characters like we were children lol. Everything about this series is just so mature and real. From the look to the story telling. Who predicted the main character would die in the series? Like yusuke in yu yu hakusho. God man and it only gets ten times more intense than this. Thanks for reviewing this greatness chibi

What I like about this episode more than anything is the atmosphere it gives the series now and going forward. A lot of other shonen kill off charcaters and make it seem like a great tragedy, only to have that ruined when they come back. It feels pointless, like the series is using death as a crutch to make up for the poor storytelling. Jujutsu Kaisen does not come off in that way. It feels like its no big deal, and its just a normal part in how this supernatural world works. We saw this with Megumi as well. We were introduced to his powers early on, and as the trope goes, he should use them throughout the series. It's like his signature style right? He's the dog spirit guy. Wrong. Already several of his creatures are dead. This is really refreshing
