Hi Marc, Shiraz is not “ just another city “. Shiraz is the city of wine, flower and poetry. The centre of once the biggest civilisations on earth. You really haven’t seen Iran if you haven’t seen Shiraz. It’s only Athens that can stand next to Shiraz when it comes to history. I would suggest to turn around and visit Shiraz. It’s once in a lifetime

I have not been to Iran for 25 years but plastic littering was a major issue in Tehran, maybe one of the worse I have seen. My understanding is this is still a big issue. {resin culture however blues meanness and nature so much so I am not surprised to see in small traditional villages peoplee take pride of cleanness of the streets. I have also heard that young generation in major cities are also campaining hard for environmental awareness but still a long way to go.

Hi Marc thanks for another good vlog, as an iranian i have to say that you have chosen a bit wrong route for your trip, you have missed northern iran where you can experience the contrast between desert and tropical nature. I see you pointed to the food and compared it to the fast food in gas stations in Germany. it is an unfair assessment you are in the land of spices and exceptional taste experiences with so much organic food with more than 4 thousand years of civilization, shiraz is not just a city, it is a story of its own, where alexander the great visited and fell in love, the city of flowers, poets, and more....... take recommendations from the local people they are your trip's best guides. wish you a continued safe and pleasant journey.

Obviously there’s a great food in Iran but obviously as a motorcycle traveler I compare the gas station food and snacks in the shops too, because this is where I eat a lot. Tell me I’m wrong when I say there‘s almost only junk food (chips, cake, candy) in the the little shops and little to no healthy options. There’s no need to be offended by that, it’s not talking bad about your country it’s just how it is🤙🏼

@@MarcTravels thanks for your reply I am not offended at all, man cannot describe feelings in text and it can be misinterpreted, I am also glad that you have visited our country. there are different assortments in different stores in different countries, and yes, that is true in Iran, sausages and mash are not served in small stores. but there are small restaurants with the same fast food you're looking for every ten meters ;)

I can’t look for good restaurants the whole day so I eat where I stop, I do that for 35.000km now. I love riding through the desert and staying at eco lodges much more than going to big cities and stay at 5 star hotels. That‘s just who I am.

Americans had no problem traveling to iran. just make sure don't use drones without permission doesn't travel to isreal before have a online iranian guide or fireind is best. you can even ask in Iranian airports to NOT stamp your passport.

As someone who loves the stories of Alexander the Great, I know of Persepolis and it has always been very, very high on my list of places I want to visit. It was said that after the razing of the complex to the ground it is said that Alexander was filled with great regret because it was a wonder of the world even in his day. I love the idea of visiting it and several places in Afghanistan which are also from that time. Thank you for showing it!

oh yes it is about riding !!!! ridiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing. just my 0.cents tip as i'm traveling offorad to keep things on bike you have to double the straps with bunguees , twist two or three times around. It will prevent straps to whip, vibrate and flapping with riding wind and become loose ;)
