Some updates for you because this also old and they have done sooooo much since then 😂 Lay - left their parent agency (SM entertainment) in 2022 but has always said he will always be part of Exo and will always be there when his members need him. He is a massive superstar in China and might possibly be the most famous celeb in the mainland. He set up his own company, Chromosome, has trainees of his own, and does everything from writing, playing instruments, producing. He has a lot of solo albums and singles, his latest is Step an all English album. He is also a well known actor, his 2023 movie No More Bets was the highest grossing film around the world on its opening weekend, beating Barbie and Oppenheimer. That is how huge he is. Baekhyun - he established his own company in 2023 called INB100, and signed both Xiumin and Chen. Basically all their solo works and their sub-unit work (EXO-CBX) will be done under this company, but they are still under contract with SM for all their EXO work. Baekhyun is currently THE BEST SELLING SOLOIST OF ALL TIME in South Korean history, across all genres. He has 4 solo albums and each one is a huge commercial success. The latest one is Hello, World (Pineapple Slice title track) is his first album under his own company and broke his own record for fastest time of crossing 1 million copies sold. He just finished his solo concert Asian tour Lonsdaleite and sold out every show. Kyungsoo (D.O.) - he also established his own company in 2023 called Company SooSoo. He no longer has a contract under SM, but he is still part of the group and works with them almost like a freelancer. He has three solo albums, the most recent one Blossom, is the first album he has released under his own company. He is a very successful and well known serious actor in Korea. Top directors and veteran actors all revere him as not just the typical idol turned actor. He usually takes on unusual roles and steers away from stereotypical romcoms. He has won a lot of the most prestigious acting awards in Korea. He just finished his first solo fancon Bloom tour in Asia, and was so in demand, they added 2nd and even 3rd shows to most cities. He is currently filming for a new drama opposite Ji Chang Wook. Suho - he now has three solo albums and is currently finishing his solo concert tour in Asia. His solo albums are more rock/poprock and he recently learned to play guitar and is showcasing it during the concert tour… He is also been active as an actor recently, with a supporting role in Netflix Drama Behind Your Touch, and a lead role in Crown Prince Disappeared. Xiumin - he has had one solo album and is currently working on his second album. His first album is very 90s dance/hiphop/synth. Check out Brand New, it’s got a fun choreo. He is also multitalented and has done a few dramas and hosted a reality idol show recently. Chen - he has four solo albums, the latest was Door, his first one under INB100. He has been going on fanmeetings and just recently released a couple of ballad singles this week. If you love emotional power ballads, Chen is the one. He is also an OST king, with many popular k drama OSTs to his name. Chanyeol - like Lay, he is practically a music prodigy he plays so many instruments and can write, produce, do everything in the studio. He has two albums with Sehun (their unit EXO-SC). He released his much anticipated solo album very recently Black Out - if you like 90s/2000s rock grunge you will love this. He is actually a really good singer, even though non fans only know him as a rapper. He is currently on his solo Asian concert tour. He was recently in the Netflix miniseries hit The Frog. He got a lot of praise for his acting in this role. Definitely unexpected from someone with such a bright, goofy personality. Kai - is currently enlisted in the military. He is serving as a public service officer, therefore he can go home daily and on weekends after work. He will be discharged hopefully by Feb 2025. He has three very successful solo albums. Please his videos and Film Kai are works of art, no matter if you are a fan or not… those are required viewing for any music lover. His dancing and love for fashion is insane. Sehun - he is also currently enlisted as public service officer (together with Kai they are the last two to enlist). He is a huge influence in the fshion scene as Dior brand ambassador, and has a massive following in Asia, particularly in China. Literally any magazine he is on the cover of always breaks records of most sold in China. Hopefully he will be out safely after 1 more year… he is also an experienced actor, his latest work was All We Ever Loved and it really showcases his comedic and dramatic skills. 2024 is definitely a year for solo growth, but Suho has mentioned the possibility of winter album at end of the year. Exo are one of the few kpop groups that actually do proper ballads and are known for their Christmas albums. In 2023, their 10-year old b-side track First Snow went #1 on all korean platforms, and even tiktok. It went viral all over again and was the only boy group song to even hit #1 on Melon 100 in 2023. Their most recent full studio album Exist in 2023, despite very minimal promotion and incomplete members, still broke records left and right. It smashed the 24-hr pre order record on ktown4u (the largest overseas seller of kpop albums and merch), smashing record previously set by Jisoo and Seventeen… Exo may not be that well known to Westerners, but they have an insanely large and loyal (and rich 😂) fan base in Asia and particularly China. This is why to this date, they have the most number of streams of any artist on Melon Korea. Everything they do goes number 1 on the largest Chinese platform QQ music (fyi qq has more users than ALL spotify users workdwide combined). You guys do the math 😂 they set so many insane records before kpop and kdrama really became mainstream around the world. They are the real idols’ idol. And to this day, they are still estimated as the kpop group with highest net worth est at US$1 billion. Nope, it’s not blackpink or bts…

4:22 Unfortunately yes, although Lay does still keep in touch with the members and has said that he has not officially left the group. He did some concerts in South Korea a few months ago and Xiumin and Sehun attended. Chanyeol was also on one of his IG lives earlier in the year. The last official EXO promotion he was a part of was the Don’t Fight the Feeling special album.

Kyungsoo has a lot of acting awards now as an actor and has new agency. He can sing whenever he wants now since he's not in SM anymore unlike before when he's still in SM. He has new dramas too. He and Chanyeol called as GICHANODI since they love to sing and do acoustics together. They covered a lot of english songs too.

The relationship between the 2 countries have improved a bit. Lay has been coming to South Korea several times since he has a company there. In the past years, Lay and the rest of the members were cautious about showing their interaction publicly, especially as Lay is huge in China. But at Lay's recent concert in SK, some of the members were present and show support to him. He even had a live vid call with Chanyeol once. He even mention having dinner with the guys. We know they communicate with each other a lot as the members do hint it from time to time. Also recently, Lay has been introducing himself as Lay of EXO again a few times.

This Ultimate Guide must be updated. Baekhyun is now a 3x million seller. Chanyeol, Chen, Suho, Xiumin, Kai, DO and Lay have their latest albums. They also have new dramas and movies. Lay, DO and Baekhyun have their own companies now. Kai and Sehun are currently in the military.

Yes lay is krump dancer he personally get lessons from trixx. And he still in grp was part of special mini album don't fight the feeling. He owns 3 companies. Chromosomes entertainment ( which he has trained and debuted several artists), lay studio for his solo, DNA studios. He is producer song writer, His all albums are self produced. And SUHO is also song writer. he was the one who writes his solo songs. He is like rock music. So he chooses that style as his solo. He was in 3 musicals. Missing crown prince is his latest drama.

Some snippets that were missing were that Chen also has written EXO songs, some together with Chanyeol and Lay and he was also in the musical "In the Heights". Lay also plays multiple instruments and that indeed was him crumping.

Xiumin has incredible abs, they didn’t show him with his shirt off. He’s also very strong! When it still 12, they decided to have an arm wrestling contest. Xiumin was the last to wrestle. He wrestled with the player who came out above everyone else. And he took the EXO member down. During another contest, for the highest note, he won. You don’t often get to hear him sing the really high notes, but there’s one CBX song that they each sing incredibly high notes, and so did Xiumin. Many think it was Chen, but it was Xiumin. He’s really good at sports, especially soccer. He’s the only member to have a doctorates degree from university. He’s the heaviest drinker, along with Sehun.

In 2021, on EXO's special album Don't Fight The Feeling, Lay joined them after a long time and we were all so surprised and happy when he showed up in the music video though he was only edited or like CGI. That was his last involvement in EXO projects before leaving the company, but he also gave assurance to the members and the fans that he's always there for EXO when they need him and that he is still and will always be EXO Lay.

Chen actually has 2 kids (I think the 2nd is a girl as well idk they didn’t disclose it much) he had struggles with Korean fans when he announced his engagement so we just now got pictures of his wedding. I’m so proud of him and due to his actions he has made others come out and get married. Also CBX is sueing SM for contract problems and are fighting for other artists as well as them getting treated better. Due to this, Exo Planet has been unstable lately and we don’t truly know how long they will stay in SM. But good news Baekhyun, D.O and Lay all have their own company

Thanks for the guide reaction! It was great! A few notes ... -- Sehun and Kai went into the military at different times last year. They both will be out by the end of next year. -- Nah, Chanyeol and Sehun do not yet have a label. But Baekhyun and D.O. as of last year each became head of their own companies for their solo activities. Baekhyun is CEO of INB100 Entertainment, which also handles Chen's and Xiumin's solo activities and for EXO subgroup CBX (ChenBaekXi). -- And D.O. has Company SooSoo. D.O. has earned many more awards and award nominations, including for the Golden Bell and Blue Dragon, since this guide. The Korean Film Council also placed him among 200 Korean actors to represent present and future of their industry. He's one of the few idol actors on that last. His last role was starring in The Moon movie last year. He also probably does the most agile and precise riffs and runs in k-pop. -- Suho is still very active in acting, his last role in K-drama the Missing Crown Prince. And Chanyeol stars in The Frog on Netflix. -- Chanyeol, Suho, Chen, D.O. and Baekhyun all released solo albums this year. Xiumin may be working on one. -- You both seem like gamers. So is Baekhyun. He's a bit League of Legends player. And he got to sing for Ezreal in the virtual band Heartsteel. The song is called "Paranoia." -- And Chen and his lovely wife now have 2 lovely daughters. He's also been working so hard for fans. He's got the widest vocal range in EXO. His voice can go from head-banging metal to coolest RnB to the sweetest softest ballads. And though he's done a little acting, his goal is just to be known as a really good singer. He doesn't want to be known as just a high note guy, and his beautiful solo work reflects that (although I love some RockDae). If you ever start getting into their solos, some nice choices are "Empty" (the mv instead of the live), Beautiful Goodbye, Light of My Life (which lives rent free in my head), the Lights Out live solo of a group song and "Up Rising" live.
