Ever wonder why so many people are unhealthy?

I did a deep dive into why most of the population is so unhealthy. Once you realize the obesity rate in America is 42% it sparks your curiosity. I first looked at some interesting case studies of people who purposely ate nutritionally poor foods but still maintained a calorie deficit and not only did they lose weight, they got healthier. Everything from their cholesterol to their BMI improved.
Then I went down the seed oil rabbit hole to figure out if it's as bad as most people are claiming it to be.. Turns out it's not but that doesn't mean I'm going to keep them in my diet.

Nutrition topics are always very important to discuss , the obesity problem has definitely gotten worse and you're right it is because people are eating more food than what their body needs food is being treated like an activity and not as nutrition

Reliance on processed foods with sugar and seed oils is the key reason we’ve gotten to where we are. Whole foods, especially with proteins and fats, increases satiety and keep your hormones in check.

Just signed up to the 30 day plan. Day1, My f**king arms are killing me. These videos are so funny yet informative. No holding back. Brilliant and motivational. Should be on the TV and the comedy circuit.

There is a good reason for alot of American food is not allowed in many countries, being our process foods are actually toxic.

I don't know. I went off processed food and started taking 2 table spoons of high-quality extra virgin olive oil a day. My blood pressure went down so much that I was off my blood pressure meds. I honestly think seed oil and processed foods are killing us

Great video. A useful topic that adds to this one is pursuing basic needed nutrients before consuming exotics. Most people want to take something strange before making sure they’re getting enough potassium or magnesium.

anecdotal story here: A while back I tried meal replacement powders. Stuff is...eh on flavor, but makes tracking calories easy. I started adding a scoop of protein powder to each serving to improve the flavor and because I didn't want to mix two drinks, and on most days I only managed 3 "servings" a day. Which, to my surprise is only 1500 calories. That seemed really strange to me, but I guess it shows just how little calories you actually consume if you spend 95% of your day sitting in a chair.

I wish these videos were around when I was a teenager because all my PE teachers make me hate thinking about my health. But this isn't something I have to labor through. Love the videos!

No so much a calorie issue, but CARBS. I had an A1c of 7.5 last July, then 6 in November, 5.3 in March and 5.1 in April of this year. Dumped bread (anything with flour, grains), processed oils, pasta, rice, fruit juice (pop was a given), high glycemic fruits (pineapple, grapes, mango, etc. except berries). Was not overweight (188 at 6'1"), bu am back to 167#. Off BP and diabetic meds.

From what ive read at least, the worst seed oils are; Canola oil, corn oil, cottonseed oil, grapeseed oil, rice bran oil, soybean oil, safflower oil, and sunflower oil- the seed oils you may want to avoid. Good video here!! Avocado oil ive been using for cooking, but with this video ill have to re-consider Avocado oil

Best video in a long time. Eating fewer calories and fasting are huge in my health plan. When I started lifting again, I ate all the time, lost weight and looked better....AND my A1C kept creeping up. Keto helps but it was not the answer for me. Also, bodybuilding and eating 6 times a day is not good for you. You can get away with it when you are young, I eat twice a day now. Everyone has their own threshold for diabetes. Some folks can be 50 pounds overweight and not become diabetic, others can be 15 pounds overweight and become diabetic (me). Watch the videos by Dr. Roy Taylor if you have a high A1C.

Basically my biggest turn mentally and physically came when I started focusing more on nutrition. I started getting my minerals n vitamins everyday. A few servings of veggies, peanut butter n eggs a day. A no added sugar sports drink like body armor. Consistently getting enough potassium the hardest thing for me but i am getting there. Let me not forget optimize my sleep. U may not be able to get your hours in but u cN optimize the hours u get. I still get my sugar fix though but its not like it use to be. I still eat my no sugar ice cream, chocolate n whatnot but I just dont eat them everyday. If I do its in small portions. Plus I try to reward myself for not doing it.

I love my cheat meal right up until about 30 minutes after eating it. Then, my body is asking me, "Wtf did you just put in me?" Back to eating clean the next day.

Ok. I’m getting everything out to make eggs and as I grab my oil, but think, nah I’ll use fat. You end up mentioning the seed oils. The timing gave me goosebumps
