Hey Mimi❤️ my comment might be long.. i remember my first time taking a flight, i remember my first move from my home country to another. I do understand how you feel and i wish i can give you a hug right now and tell you that everything is going to be fine. Malta is very famous for students (video comming out soon), we have tons of international students here. People say that Malta has some similarities with Morocco (in terms of architecture) so at times you will feel like home. The island is generally safe, very easy to find new friends and the Arabic community is very helpful here. Stay positive and keep your mind in good things and you will be fine here. What a great video! It brought back great memories for me, because my one visit to Malta was in early February about 20 years ago--to celebrate a milestone birthday for my mother, who chose Malta because she claimed it was "tucked away in a corner of the Mediterranean" and would have good weather. Bless her because otherwise I would probably not have visited this beautiful island. The day after our arrival a huge storm blew in. We were staying in a hotel on the Sliema waterfront, and had a fine view of the waves crashing up onto the promenade. The wind continued for some days, with overcast skies and intermittent rain and showers. Despite that I was able to explore Valletta and take local buses to most of the great archaeological sites and Mdina. The big pro of visiting in winter was the lack of crowds. Wandering around the mainly empty streets of Mdina in particular was very atmospheric. The biggest con was the short days--it got dark (under the overcast skies) pretty early and also the visiting hours for many places were shorter. I would say that I'd rather have seen Malta in bad weather than not at all. If you want to get around, perhaps the good public transportation (buses) might be better in bad weather as you don't have to deal with driving through semi-flooded streets and roads!

Thanks for the video, Alex. I am Maltese but live in Canada 🇨🇦 The winters here are bitter cold 🥶 and brutal. You have to clean the snow off your car before you drive to work. The rain in Malta wouldn't bother me - at least you don't have to shovel it or slip on it. Cheers!

I wish I'd seen something like this before I moved to Malta for six months beginning at the end of January a few years back--I would have been better prepared with more than one long-sleeved shirt and one sweatshirt! (I was there for the worst rainstorm in 70 years in Malta.) But it's still a beautiful country.

hey hey :) i will do a dedicated video about some of the topics, but shortly i will answer: once you pay social security and income tax, you are entitled for free health care in public hospitals and clinics. we have JYSK, Homemate, JB stores and Tallira instead of IKEA, we do not have primark but we do have along those lines in the cities called Paola and Hamrun. Avoid Sliema and St Julians for bargain prices, they are more on the expensive sight

What I enjoy about the Maltese winters are that u get the chance to get all cosy inside...a chance to put ur big fluffy socks on & enjoy a tasty soup...KNOWING (& this is important!) That it's not going to last untill a depression sets in!! U know that the sun is just around the corner..but meanwhile let's cosy up!!

Was just there for Christmas (had also been in 2019... had to skip 2020). I loved it (nice 15-17 C mostly sunny and slightly cloudy weather). Have also been there in February rain and wasn't bothered at all. My kind of winter! (on the other hand I haven't been in the months may-october and am not in a hurry).

I’ve been in Malta on Armistice day when it’s been HOT, also been in November in cold and very wet. Houses are are very cold and damp in Winter my family having lived there and have seen unbelievable flooding. I love Malta in June or September, stay safe 🚶‍♂️☕️

Hey, i use iPhone 12 pro max, external mic i got on amazon and i have several gimbals, for selfie recording i use normal tripod, when i shoot with the back camera and i need to get stable scene i use a stabiliser, hope it helped
