Amazing performance by Keala........especially because a couple of days before this performance, which is a HUGE deal for a Broadway actress...she had a mini stroke but she told them that they had to fix the problem, temporarily, so she could perform at the Oscars, and they did and she got to perform. Indeed, if you look at the other singers, they are keeping an eye on her, every now and then, I imagine to make sure she was not about to collapse, especially after those big notes. The song has become an anthem for anyone who feels "different" and she has sung everywhere, including the late Queen. I love, too, that every time she sings it, except in the film, she begins to cry, as she knows how it feels to be "different", as do many of us. She is amazing and love your reactions...!

Completely agree. Every live performance I’ve seen of her has been shaky with poor breath control and her nerves definitely effect those high notes and even the sustained belts :/

Rosie Red nahh not everyone can sing, it's just that majority of philipino houses has a karaoke and you just end up singing cuz everybody is doing it, good or bad voices it's all fun. And just like any other culture, when you notice that you have a good voice you work on it at basically sing night and day. About the adorable part well.... That's all preference. But thanks! Hope you enjoy the new song it's kind of sexy.

Constantina Louttchenko Definitely not her first time singing it live. She’s sung it live plenty of times- maybe not too this big of an audience, but still. I think she’s sang this so many times, she’s wearing herself out. She’s probably gradually getting tired of the song, especially vocally and physically. And she had all these emotions overwhelming her, so she was just trying to overwhelm them back. It’s not about what notes you sing, it’s about what words you sing and what is in those words.

I love her range but she is flat a lot in her upper register. Every reaction that you guys have done to her singing “This is Me” she has been flat during those parts of the song. Great performance nonetheless though ❤️.

I honestly don’t think she’s that good in her live performances. Poor breath control and quite flat in parts. Sounds amazing on the track though and it should have won an Oscar.

She was great on live on Ellen, les miserables, and the Greenroom. I think when there’s major movement involved as in choreo dancing her breath control is shaky.... Maybe nerves and emotions? The oscars are huge... not her best but deff far from not being that good. Not that good is me in the shower trying to belt this. 😂

I think the "issue" is she gets emotional very easily and that can affect her performance. I still love it and anytime when she is like that, I start to cry 😂
