Call Her Daddy

3 жыл бұрын

Father Cooper sits down for an interview with the one and only Mia Khalifa…move over Oprah. Mia opens up about the struggles she faced while growing up as an immigrant in a post 9/11 society and the bullying and harassment that followed. She recounts the darkest time in her life and how she overcame global shaming, death threats, and ISIS. Mia tells her story with an inspiring amount of strength and affirms how one’s past does not define their future. It wouldn’t be an episode of Call Her Daddy without a little sex, and Mia shares one of the most intimate sexual experiences she has had with a partner. Lastly as always, therapy is the key to life. ENJOY DADDIES!

Mia’s story is such an important one to be told. Being a sex worker myself, I fully empathize with her experience. There’s a stark difference between being coerced into sex work & voluntarily making the decision for yourself. I’m on the opposite side of this spectrum & have been very fortunate to not only have started as an adult woman in my 30s but to also be doing it on my own terms with the support of my friends & family. Unfortunately, that’s not the case for a lot of sex workers. There also weren’t as many options & platforms for us to produce our content independently when Mia was coming up so for anyone considering, if you’re certain this is the job you want, explore those avenues first before you sign your life away to predatory porn companies. Create your own space, name your own price & accept nothing less than what you rightfully deserve.

“You’re a child if you’re not in therapy” or you don’t have health insurance/can’t afford it. I would love to be in therapy but I literally can’t afford it, and I am unable to get on Medicare. There are many reasons why someone doesn’t have access to therapy unfortunately, including living in rural areas without internet and living below the poverty line.

I think they both added that it also includes the fact you are actively working on yourself, therapy or not. They said they want to be associated with people who are in therapy OR actively working on them self, perhaps because they may have been heavily involved in people that weren’t doing either, which can be really damaging to an individual. It doesn’t need to involve money or wealth, it’s just a case of wanting to be a better person than you were yesterday and I think we all wanna be involved with people with that mindset

@@Tolandruth i have yet to believe there is a single individual on this planet without problems they need to emotionally work through. for instance, i think you may be a man bc of your instant impulse u had to comment u didnt need it due to men being widely called “pussies” and “not man enough” when yall cry or talk ab how u feel yk, and i also think you may be a very closed off individual as a result of that (which i feel u bc same) oR youre a narcissistic person who feels perfect (which i dont think thats the case) my point is we all have issues, im fucked up mentally and im cognitively disabled (i like to call myself a depressed stoner retard) however, thats not a bad thing and i think u should try it out if u can. if u cant afford therapy, i used to have 7cups downloaded on my phone, its kinda like a free text-therapist but they dont get any info from u unless u actually tell them, but u get connected to real ppl and real counselors unless youre more into a kinda “i would rather just talk to ppl who feel the same way in a group setting” they also have free support-groupchats. its pretty cool and either way u try therapy, app or not, i definitely recommend at least giving it a try. btw im telling u all this mostly based on a gut feeling that i should so ye.. sorry if thats strange and i dont mean to insult u bc everything that i described that i imagine u feeling- is exactly how i am but im a woman😂 anyway i hope ur having a nice ass day/night just felt like i had to say something so disregard this if you wish haha

@PlumberGasfitter no here in the US it can be extremely expensive if you dont have some kind of insurance and health insurance is on its own expensive here it sucks that so many people dont have access to it. I think there are other like cheaper alternatives to traditional therapy like i hear about the app better help where its like a therapy app and you can talk to therapists but I think you still have to pay, and honestly I don’t know, it could be really good but I feel like its probably not the same as traditional therapy which not everyone has access too unfortunately.

I’ve only seen a few ‘Call Her Daddy’ episodes, but this one is by far my favorite! I learned so much about Mia, and I think a lot of that had to do with how comfortable Alex made her feel. This conversation was extremely eye opening because I didn’t know much about Mia’s story, but she seems so damn resilient. I can’t imagine going through her experience, but I’m so happy that she’s in a good place now. I wish her nothing but the best.💕 PS, I’d love to see more POC on here.
