I have given up alcohol because of your advice, Dr. Li. I have had a glass of red wine with lunch for years. But after hearing you explain what it does I have begun to drink green tea with lunch. And recently I have entered the land of matcha ceremonial tea. I love it. I am so very inspired by your way of explaining these concepts. You speak in a a way that allows us to understand. Thank you so much.

Summary from Newsletter: 🌄 Skip breakfast - everyone is different, but for some of us, delaying or skipping altogether is a great option. (0:24) 🍽️ Reduce your food serving size - aka don’t pile on your plate. (3:49) 😴 Improve your sleep quality - good sleep actually restores your microbiome. (5:03) 🍬 Ditch ultra-processed foods - prioritize real, whole foods. (11:19) 🍺 Cut the booze - Now, I’m not against alcohol, but if you’re trying to lose weight, you may want to consider eliminating the spirits from your diet. Here’s why. (15:56)

I don't drink alcohol but I might need it to fall asleep. I don't pile on food as I don't even eat much. Sometimes I only eat once a day. However, I've started taking Akkermansia, so far I've noticed I'm not tired. Thank you for the suggesting it.

I've never been an alcohol drinker, been IF until lunch many days of the week for several years, attempt good sleep patterns, eat a clean, low carb diet, and get natural vitamin D from sunshine and exercising. I'm also working to balance my hormones. Still in a weight loss stall. What more is there? I could use something new that I haven’t heard before.

You can check out Mindy Pelz -She has a great video on eating sardines for a couple of days as a jumpstart. Watch your ingredients very closely, You can keep a food journal to see if there’s anything that causes inflammation to you and eliminate it- I found that dairy slowed my week got lost down quite a bit so once I lost the extra 10 pounds that I was struggling with for years, I started eating more cheese. Corn products and soy products Made it very hard to lose weight. Show me the final step was giving up pretty much all seed oil. The only oils that i still eat EVO, avocado And coconut. Don’t do any low fat products. Eat the full egg. Get enough quality, sleep, drink lots of water, move your body, cold showers

I went Carnivore last September and gained weight. I've tried sardine fasts etc only to get diarrhea. I’ve tried cutting out dairy with no changes. Gave up seed oil almost 2 years ago. I'm really looking for some new breakthroughs. For now I have my fingers crossed that balancing my post menopausal hormones will help.

If find that 2 meals per day and intermittent fasting 18 hours a day is easy as long as I have plenty of body fat to burn. Sometimes I go for a 1-2 hour walk before my second meal and when I get home i"m just not hungry so I end up fasting for 24 hours. Being fat adapted is important in this way of eating. This is just my experience.I started at 285 lbs and 4 months later I'm 225 pounds and 6'1". Still OBESE as far as the BMI chart dictates (my current BMI is 30) but everyone is telling me to stop losing weight or I'll be too skinny. ( I think they're just being nice)
