Maybe healthy people with low blood sugar can afford to use this starchy grain for wound-healing. But those with a sugar problem had better use other healers like protein from meats and vegetables, I feel. That's the price we have to pay for our lifetime of bad diets - that we cannot avail of oats' scarless healing properties. Because the worst thing for wound healing is sugar and oats is 60% starch (which breaks down to sugar in the body, for those new to nutritional concepts) though it may be complex starch/carbs.

Does the green tea need to be hot? Can I get same effects with iced tea?

I gave up ice cream for five years. I think that was a mistake. I have resumed my lifelong ice cream indulgence and am no longer under weight. At age 68 I have more mental energy having returned to ice cream daily. I like Hagen Daz especially vanilla coffee and strawberry. I combine it with Greek plain yogurt and fresh strawberries. I do eat it more than recommended. But I have a severe light disorder and rely on Vitamin D magnesium and calcium to counter my symptom overload. Ice cream it seems is a benefit. Interesting I returned to ice cream with winter solstice last December when I found myself craving something sweet.

The question is: was the extract that was tested on mice in the lab taken from raw or cooked oats? Do avanathromide and beta D glucan get destroyed by cooking? Because people generally eat well-cooked oats for breakfast, we don't just saute it. If these miraculous nutrients survive the heat, wow, it would be wonderful because I, personally, have grown to love oats and was quite upset and disappointed when I learned that rice, pasta, bread, etc were harmful.

I've heard from other Dr's that tomatoes have lectins. Which are harmful to the intestinal wall and the only way to make them less harmful is by cooking them.

Great info! Kakigori (shaved ice) is also a good option, it's sold everywhere in Japan in summer. It's basically mostly just crushed ice, with some syrup or chunks of fruit on top. Possibly the only type of "ice cream" that doesn't make you feel thirsty or sugary afterwards.

Dr. Li, I am disappointed to see you wearing those headphones!!! I can't believe, that you are not aware of all the damage (including cancer) to the brain caused by those in-ear headphones. And worse, when both are used. The EMF waves are going through your brain (literally cooking it). Please do some research and update us on the situation. It is a very well-known consequence...

Fasting & drinking clear water is the key to recovery & repairing all stem cells. We are poisoning ourselves with Artificial foods & drugs. No DOUBT. But beware of additives & preservatives that are not healthy

If blueberries aren't as beneficial for regrowing stem cells over 60, which fruits are?? How about the other mentions? It'd be great if statements like that are complete, like if not blueberries, then what? I'm not quite over 60 but good to know because blueberries are the most talked about fruit. If it isn't helping in this way for the over 60 crowd...how about a video of what is most beneficial for different ages. Leaves you hanging.

Dr. Li thank you for encouraging people to boost their own stem cell production through nutrition and healthy choices. I appreciated your review of the idealized source of stem cells. This would be the optimum source for all kinds of reasons biological and moral. However, the number one source of stem cells here in California is from unborn fetal tissues produced during elective abortions. This may or may not matter to the recipient but they should be informed for consent. Patients who want stem cell injections should expect to pay more than $10k, out of pocket for one treatment. It is widely available in Los Angeles, but as an off-menu add-on. Patients must ask their cardiologist directly. They will sign acknowledgement that it is an experimental treatment without guarantees of safety or efficacy. The entire outpatient treatment is quick. Expect to spend more time with the injection nurse monitoring for immediate side effects than the infusion itself. Little to no follow up will be done. Remember, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Most heart damage is due to inflammatory processes related to diet and lifestyle. Injected stem cells are controversial and not guaranteed to produce positive outcomes.. Any foreign tissue in the body could result in unanticipated damages, possibly long-term. Sticking with your own cells as described has far fewer risks. Even the process of injection carries risks of infection. The best option of all is encouraging your body to increase internal production eliminating nearly all risks. Let food be thy medicine.
