The fact that almost every youtuber I have watched at some point has mentioned how terrible the ranking system in YT Studio is for their mental health, and yet youtube instead is like "we removed dislikes to help youtuber's mental well beings 😊"

Nicole, no matter what you film (even if it is “boring”) I’ll watch it. I love you videos, and I am so happy that you said you are going to make content you love and want to make. Also, I love the little microphone. I don’t know why, but it just makes me so happy.

as a 17 year old i myself am scared of me like i have absolutely no idea where im going in life i just want to enjoy whatever it is. ive been watching your videos for almost 3 years now, and in that time i feel like ive grown with u. its been inspiring and has even made me want to pursue filming (more of a hobby) not that i have a phD in film or whatever but maybe that would help you feel more free to make what u want without the stress of pleasing everyone, its your professional hobby.
@Paul-cj2dy
@Paul-cj2dy 2 жыл бұрын
Get what you’re saying. I think when some people use the term ‘hobby’ it can be a bit condescending, though. Hobby usually means a private personal activity that isn’t shared or promoted to others. Which is fine. It’s also okay to try to build an interest into an occupation that can also support you. I think the term ‘interest’ shows others that you’re taking something more seriously.

Remember your audience no matter what will have to grow and evolve with you, even if that means you lose some people. That’s okay, you’ll gain some too. I started watching you while in college, and then I graduated and moved out also, and now I’m more interested to see what that transition looks like for you as well. We are evolving and getting older as individuals too, and naturally that will change the content we wanna see. You can’t make everyone happy but if you’re making yourself happy then the right audience will gravitate to you. Also this is very random but hear me out, I remember you mentioning in a prior video that your mom worked as a housekeeper so you learned how to clean growing up. Now that you have your own place have you ever considered doing cleaning type videos? Whether that’s like cleaning 101 or just clean-with-me videos where people can hang out and do their laundry with you or some shit. It’s something I’m interested in seeing more now as a neurodivergent person who never learned how to keep a tidy space growing up (and I also potentially have OCD), so I’m growing a liking to see how other people do basic life things. You seem to enjoy routines and making your space something you’re proud of, and I think a lot of people actually like home maintenance type videos, they can be sort of comforting. Ok now that I feel kind of stupid writing an essay to a stranger on the internet I’ll stop. Just know that a lot of people will continue to watch whatever you want to make ✨

Im 22 too and have just started working my first 'grown up' job, and am also finding it really hard to come to terms with the fact that I am an adult now and not just a silly little teenager. It always seems like everyone else has taken the whole transition into adulthood a lot better than I have, so it is really refreshing to see someone be honest for once. The videos where you just talk or do the simple things (like talking in your car on the way to get groceries etc) are always my favourite

no like i feel the same way, i had a convo with my mom about how i used to be so confident and once i started university it all basically disappeared, and ever since then in every conversation i'm in my head going "be funnier" "relax" "be yourself" when in reality, that's just not me anymore. plus, i love your videos no matter what you post!!

This video is an exact representation of how I feel whenever I'm trying to write my first novel (I'm a writer) and it sucks every time it passes my mind. I feel like my writing isn't going to be good enough an no one will want to read them and then I'll never become a published author like I've always dreamed of since I was 8 years old (I'm 22 now) and then I feel like I graduated with the wrong major (Creative writing w a minor in film). This feeling sucks but I also know I'm in an era where I have to try anyway because what if people do want to read my novel and that voice in my head is trying to prevent my success if I listen to it. I feel like a lot of people in their 20's are also feeling this way and are trying to heal from their past to have a better future. This video was something I actually needed to see as confirmation to keep going and the decisions being made in my life are the right ones. As you said "I'm in my selfish era" (or at least that's how I remembered it lol). Being in your 20's you should be allowed to be selfish to a healthy extend because this is the decade where we have to pick up our careers and start living a life worth living instead of just existing. I'm proud of you for coming to this realization and I love all your videos and literally anything you post I'll watch it especially since we're the same age and I feel like if we went to the same college we would be good friends (but instead I went to SUNY New Paltz). I hope you make the content you love to make and are happy with the future of your youtube career 💓.

This video was honestly very comforting to watch because I've been in a very similar emotional place and so it was almost therapeutic to hear you just talk everything out in a very stream of consciousness kind of way. Also if you feel comfortable sharing I would love to hear what the medication is that has been helping with your OCD is because I've been wanting to go on meds for my own OCD again but it's a little daunting to just go through that all those weeks of trials before landing on the right fit. It's always nice to actually hear someone's firsthand experiences with a medication instead of just reading about their side effects and effectiveness on Wikipedia.

I’m gonna be 21 in October and I genuinely can’t believe it because my life felt like it stopped when I was 18 and I had to go to online school and I’ve basically spent everyday after that inside since. I feel like the same person, yet two years have past. I know the feeling. Also, I will watch whatever you put out, and I think you’re just as cool as you ever were. You’re really an inspiration to me and your videos are always comforting.

I think that a lot of us would love "mundane" or "boring" videos or vlogs that you post because it feels like we're coming along and hanging out with a friend. At least for me, I love hanging out with friends when we need to do chores, because it's still quality time spent together doing stuff, even if it's the essential everyday things, and 'boring' vlogs to me feel that way with my favorite creators.

Idk if it's ocd or not, I just know I can't keep living like this and this feeling is so scary. Watching you getting better and being more independent is such an inspiration for me bc it's something I cannot imagine myself being capable of dealing with. I'm 19 and I hope at the time I'm 20 or even 21 everything will be better 🤞🤞🤞🤞 by the way I don't even get into college yet bc my brain just cannot function, so I decided to take one more year to study and try again. I have always appreicated you for sharing raw videos like these and parts of your life where you have down moments. There's so many influencers that only share their happiest moments or try to be happy for the sake of not letting people down or whatever their reason is. The thing is, it makes me forget that it's actually normal to not feel happy all the time and it's not weird and there's nothing wrong with me. It is just how it is, and you sharing these videos makes me feel much less alone. Any video you share I've appreicated so much because I don't watch them for the content, I just like who you are

Feel free to grow and change and explore who you are as a content creator as well as a person. the people who like it will stick around and the people who don't wont but that's okay, new people will show up and enjoy in their place. Literally been having the worst day and this little chat has made me feel so much better. I relate to so much you said btw like I'm not even an influencer and I get anxious over what I post on my insta story so I feel for you. Would love to see more content like this it's very relatable. Much love ❤

Please prioritize yourself when it comes to your content, and please prioritize your safety! And remember that you never have to to share the situation around your safety with anyone, even if people badger you about it online. Speaking from personal experience and regrets telling people things in full, its up to you to share what you want and you are 100% allowed to make comments or tell bits and refuse to tell the full story. You and your safety are more important than your content to just about all of us,wether you just need breaks or want to try things new or if you eventually decide to stop youtube all together ❤️

The college into young adulthood identity crisis is so hard. Like if you grow and evolve, it's easy to feel boring once you're starting to think through things and make healthy decisions but like, I think we need more examples of the small joys and challenges of an insightful young adulthood

i'm in the exact same place rn re: meds bringing down anxiety a lot but now not having anxiety as a motivator and all of that wrapped up in your creative pursuits and it's just jdhfdjkhskjfhdl solidarity!! i also weirdly because of meds kinda don't remember a chunk of the end of last year that well lmao so happy new year to us. i've enjoyed every video of yours that i've seen and i look forward to seeing your future videos knowing that you're doing it for you!!

Nicole I will always watch your videos and support you no matter what. Not because I “have” to, because I genuinely want to, the only reason I wouldn’t watch them right when they come out is school, and even then when I get notifications that you posted I can’t wait to get home to watch 🤍🤍

For me getting medicated was almost like a puberty redo myself on medication is a whole different person so you have to account for that in your journey. I’ve been here for years and I would watch you do anything because I feel very emotionally attached to who I view you are as a person and you coming into ur own is even better. Also I’m 21 and I have to tell myself that scary teenagers are silly little babies so I’m not scared.

I’ve stopped watching your videos after a while but not because you weren’t funny really. It was because the vibe wasn’t a complete match. If people watch you it’s because they like who you show on the screen. But only you can know wether that’s really you. In the end it’ll make you dispair and feel like a fraud. If you make videos because you don’t get anything out of them then you really start to shine. Because you do it for its own sake and not for something else. That being said I also thank you because you were an amazing influence in my life and I wish you a lot of peace and fun! Kisses from a stranger ;) xoxo

omg my roommate has a restraining order that's about to expire and apparently you can't just renew it, you have to wait for the person to contact you THREE MORE TIMES before you can get a new one. so so scary and unsafe
I got kicked out of a NYC celeb after party. *storytime*
