My Doobie Brothers story. I was in high school (1974) when the DB hit big on the radio. Many stoned rides cranking Black Water on the car FM.. Fast forward almost 30 years and I work for a custom Audio/Video installation company. Previous clients include Gregg Allman (Allman Bros Band), Francis Ford Coppola (film director). So one morning I drive to North Novato (marin county), up to a gated house. It's Tom Johnston's house. We are installing a whole house system. So I'm walking around with tom and his wife, marking speaker locations, wall controls, flat screen placements, etc. I spent many days on site with him. You realize he is just another human, walking his path, and sometimes you get lucky in life and get to meet your rock star legends from your past. Outside, your cool as a cucumber, in charge with your skill sets, but inside your all "Holy cr ap, its the guy from the Doobie Brothers!". Great memories. Peace
