Thank you for restoring the list of perfumes in the video notes. Personally, I find I'm less likely to watch a video if there is no such list (what if I have to watch it all the way through just to find it's all stuff I'm already familiar with?) Also, I find that if I'm rewatching a video, the list helps me quickly get to the perfumes I'm particularly interested in. It just makes the experience much friendlier for us viewers. Anyway, great stuff as ever, and as ever, a pleasure to watch.

Hi Ramsey! This subject is fantastic & I’m psyched to be watching! I have to pause quickly to tell you my Initio story. I’ve also intensely disliked every Initio bottle I’ve tried, UNTIL, I sampled Addictive Vibration (kind of a honey, apple blossom & orange blossom thing). I liked it! Found out the perfumer was Maurice Roucel! (This has happened to me an odd number of times; I dislike everything but the 1 frag I like turns out to be a Roucel). I had to admit that I’m a Roucel super fan. 😂🤣 Honestly, I don’t love Addictive Vibration, I like it. But it’s, in my limited experience, way better than everything else in that line.

My favorite amber frag so far would have to be MDCI Chypre Palatin. Of which I just ordered a big 'ol bottle. I even like the castoreum note in it, and you know I don't like animalics. But it's done so judiciously in Chypre Palatin and tamed by the brilliant amber. It's more of an amber scent than a true chypre.
@RamseytheRam2 жыл бұрын
Yeah we agree there my friend.... its the best MDCI by far BUT there was no amber note listed in Parfumo so I couldnt include it 🥲
@JT-rx1eo2 жыл бұрын
@@RamseytheRam Imo a better criteria would be to just include frags with an obvious prominent amber accord, regardless whether it has the note of "amber" explicitly listed. On Fragrantica Chypre Palatin has amber listed at the very top of the accord stack way out in front (meaning by far the most dominant accord), but in the notes it has benzoin, styrax, vanilla, tolu balsom, etc. All the notes that make up an amber accord. And Chypre Palatin is my second favorite MDCI frag. My favorite by a long shot is Invasion Barbare.
@RamseytheRam2 жыл бұрын
@@JT-rx1eo yea i could see that... invasion barbare is good and glad to have a big 30 ml decant ... but for my money its chypre palatin all the way.... this goes back to the picking favorite perfumes is like picking a favorite color bit😄

I always appreciated the list in the description. I’m sorry you’ve decided to remove them. If someone is searching for thoughts on a specific perfume, particularly an obscure one, would your video still pop up following a search if the name of the perfume is not in the description?

@@RamseytheRam I find it kind of hard to believe that your intended audience would be like, oh he’s not discussing this or that, after reading the list and then stop the video. If anything, you specialize in scents that there aren’t that many videos about. If your video comes up when people search shit like Ho Hang Club, there isn’t much competition. That said, I have no experience, so feel free to disregard.

Contradictory to some of my previous comments Amber is a favourite, up there with Leather, Incense and Muscs. As for Ciel de Gum yes I forgot about that, I pick up the rose which is gentle but teases, it's so we'll put together. Apart from that I find MFK's don't sit right with me. Glad you pointed out what you think should be recognised as amber as I too have struggled with classifications and had begun to doubt my nose. Thoroughly enjoyed this def a repeat viewing worthy, thanks for all your efforts. Oh I meant to say, with the new background in a short time you have a serious KZbinr setup. You even can scoot back to pick up a fragrance while seated, we've had to endure presenters with no pants on standing up to pick up a bottle from their display!😂 A definite positive in 2022!! As for the vintage obsession, that was a frequent wear for me, I preferred the Fluid Body Talc, as I was in a humid climate it worked better than the EDT. I bought one not long ago and it's as I remember, no ageing or degradation. It comes in the same bottles and volumes, just needs a shake before applying as it separates when still.
