Rambo, I’m so glad you got the EDC version of Habit Rouge. To my understanding it was the first and intended concentration and they only released the EDT and EDP because of the trends that came along. To me, a lot of the magic is lost in the EDT. The EDC is so nuanced, so much more elegant, complex, and at the same time fresher. I hope you enjoy it as much as i do, I’ve stockpiled enough bottles to last me a lifetime-- I see myself wearing this in Paris, eating a prixfix supper and relishing the atmosphere.

I wore both the EDC of Vetiver and Habit Rouge to bed on seperate wrists last night and Immediately texted Armando and said they are 🔥 They are somehow freshier and citrusy-er in the top and thicker and heavier in the base... and the Guerlainade was still shimmering on my wrist when I woke up in the morning ... Guerlain is the height on fine french perfumery & these EDCs are great examples of that 🐏💪

Never smelled Dark & yes you need to try Santal Galore ... in my opinion it is the best Sandalwood Perfume in my whole collection... the way the Durian melts with the sandalwood and oud is just 🤤

You solved a mystery that’s been bothering me: Where is the extreme version of L’Instant? And here it’s just the EDP now, which I have. Been under my nose all along. Thanks for the helpful aside and for the video overall. (Re: those tall Serge Lutens bottles, I once had someone measure the bottle for me and determined the Fumerie Turque I was eying wouldn’t fit upright in my cabinet. Not the most practical bottle, but it sure is unmistakable.)

I have tried Nostalgia and really liked it, although it is not really my style at all. I got to borrow it from a guy in my Swedish community because he wanted me to try some of his best leather fragrances. Very unique and special! Appreciate your honesty so much! I actually love Symphonium but find it unworthy of the price and it dries down to a generic vanilla. Do love the opening though!

Durian note? Oof. Tried durian once. Tasted the way a city block smells when the residential trash has been boiling on the sidewalk while it waits for pickup. I’m a simple cardboard box guy for presentation. For environmental reasons-and because packaging’s cost is just added to the price anyway-I dislike fancy packages. Usually pretty wasteful.

@@RamseytheRam Durian doesn’t taste like fruit or like animals to me. Smells like driving behind a trash truck on a July afternoon. I’m told it’s an acquired taste. I know the brand has a solid rep, but ain’t nobody including durian for the smell. For marketing buzz, I suspect.

@@Sliceisnice850 it isnt marketing to my nose.... the Durian in the top is an important part of the composition. I think Adam deserves props 2 fold on this perfume, one is the packaging is outstanding and shows attention to detail and care & two using notes like Durian and stepping out of the normal convention deserves to be applauded , whether you like the smell or not. To me this is the best Sandalwood perfume in my 800 bottle collection, and that is saying something IMHO 🐏

@@RamseytheRam Some hotels in Asia forbid cracking open durian inside, so rank is the smell. I can’t believe true durian is coming across in that perfume, but maybe someone with more experience than I do can confirm. If you’re picking up a “fruity” smell, I don’t think that’s durian. Durian is gym socks + steamed garbage.

Have you done a this is not a top ten on Yellow Florals? I feel like it would provide quite a challenge. Samsara is as much yellow floral as it is sandalwood to my nose. Scent of the day is Dunhill edition. Not a big like, or even a small like. There’s a creaminess in it that irks me

Habit rouge edc is a great fragrance, I have a 200ml bottle from the 70s when it was the only formulation that existed. It makes an impact when you go out and people perceive it, you can see it in their faces, I think women like it a lot. It is wonderfully blended like all the great fragrances of Guerlain. These old Guerlains never disappoint

Unboxing; not big on Santal dominant frags but that box was pretty damn cool. Been milking a small decant of Russian Oud to death for a couple years now.........I wouldn't have the testicular fortitude to trade a full bottle for anything. I have to give the nod to the Guerlain Vetiver Eau De Cologne as my favorite un boxing. I'm biased. Been one of my warm weather go-tos for 30+ years.

Heard you say Zoologist sent you samples of their whole house. Does this kind of thing happen to you a lot? How about full bottles? I totally trust your opinions and that they are personal, but I have a real hangup about stuff being sent and how it might affect reviewers opinions in general. When I heard you say that you could consider full bottles of THREE Zoologist fragrances, I exhaled and just knew you are not one that would feel obliged to say overly positive things. The fact that you often comment the price point of a perfume and whether you think it is worth the price makes me think you have purchased most of your fragrances yourself.

A sample set wont change anyones opinion of a brand... who would lie for one or two mls? Actually a sample set or discovery atomizer is what these brands should be sending out to channels in my opinion.. a few mls is more than enough to do a video on it without the whole bottle swaying what they have to say 🙏🙏🙏

I do videos in our Swedish local group and I want more people to visit their shop, not less. It is difficult.
