I said it 2 years ago when Tyreek Hill left and I've been saying it before OTA's this season... Two new receivers (with speed) in an Andy Reid offense with Mahomes as QB and no real film for defenses to study until around mid-season would be tough to beat... Mahomes went 5000 and 41 on the way to his second League and SB MVP with Juju and MVS... I could see another 5000 and 50, or maybe break Manning's 5477 and 55, on the way to the 3 Peat... Just My Humble Opinion based on stats and facts...

Old guy here. Yeah, the Chiefs sort of dodged a bullet here. It came down to the toe. Problem is, they really should have scored about 35 to 41 points, if they hadn’t dropped 4 passes that were catchable. Defense should never have allowed Baltimore to go the length of the field in 1:43 with ZERO timeouts. The good news is that the defense doesn’t even need to be as dominant as they were last year. I fear the loss of Sneed may come back to bite them. I hope it doesn’t. They just need to be top 8 or 10 defense. If the offense doesn’t beat itself with bad penalties, turnovers, or for crap’s sake, more dropped balls, they could easily score 28 to 40 points per game, with all the weapons they have. Andy will come up with all kinds of innovative schemes to get different players open in space. It should be very entertaining football, unless your team is on the KC schedule this year. I think what the KC organization has done to prepare for the inevitable pressure of the 3peat is pretty amazing. They extended contracts for just about all the coaches, so nobody left or got poached. I believe even the head executive was included. Then they cut and released players that didn’t fit or weren’t up to their specs for this season. I’m glad I didn’t have to make the decision to keep Sneed or pay Jones, because they couldn’t do both. Chris Jones was quite dominant this last game, so I hope he can keep it up. I had hopes they would retain Willie Gay jr at linebacker, apparently they thought Leo Chenal would be able to slide into his spot, saving more cash. The FA Hollywood Brown was genius. Then their brain trust, led by Brett Veach, put together a pretty good draft that included a new tackle, a very fast WR in Worthy, extra Olineman and DBs. Then they resigned JUJU and picked up PERine from Denver. Both excellent acquisitions and cost effective. That UDFA in Carson Steele, could be just that, a steal by seasons end. These guys are just extremely thorough, looking under every nook and cranny, trying to find just the right player, at the right spot, to fit the team’s needs. It’s quite interesting to watch all the wheeling and dealing. Then once that was done, they extended key players like Travis KelCe, Creed Humphrey and Harrison BUTKER. In the SB era, it’s been a feat too difficult to win 3 in a row. 8 teams have faced this Mt Everest of a challenge, all 8 have failed for one reason or another. Loss of a coach, or multiple coaches, different leadership, loss of key players to free angency, offensively or defensively, but I believe the worst is misfortunate bad luck resulting in a catastrophic injury to key players, offense or defense. Barring that, and if they make the leap in team improvement, they will have all 3 phases covered with no apparent weaknesses. Plus, the new kickoff rule maybe an advantage too, limiting any long returns. I believe they have an excellent chance to accomplish this almost Herculean task. The Chiefs owner, management, and coaches have done about everything you possibly can to make it happen. Buckle up, it’s going to be a heck of a ride, damn good entertainment watching it. Patrick's contract..while huge at the time (still) is structured for such a long term that they can restructure and make things work. I'm not gonna say they're gonna go 17-0 but KC looks TOUGH right now. I don't know if anybody has a real answer for this team other than pray someone has an off-week. The offense - the one thing KC was misfiring on most of last season - is dramatically improved. Worthy adds a level of depth not seen in KC since Tyreke Hill. Already. And that defense is pretty stacked. I think this team has true 12-5 or 14-3 potential. Will dominate the AFC West again, probably 2 or 3 seed in the AFC, depending on how Baltimore and Houston fare going forward. But yeah, that three-peat is looking more and more likely by the week.

CJ is a different QB than Mahomes but he has that same icewater in the veins, big in big moments composure so I always feel like there's a chance with him on the field. Nothing surprised me about this game. I think both teams are only going to get better as the season goes along. The difference is, for the pieces that Baltimore has new on there team and the division that they're in, doesn't compare to the chiefs. The Genius Andy Reed is probably more excited than anyone to install a devastating deep threat, the video accurately illustrated how Even b4 the big play, Ravens secondary diaplayed concern. Once he broke the big play, it was literally stressful, Andy Reid's formations put uncomfortable pressure, on the defense that force them to question their calls, the busted coverage on Xman's 2nd TD was an excellent example, where everyone knows he's fast , and letting him roam free behind the defense, with PattyHomes Rocket propelled throwing power is a problem . During one of the pre season conversations, PattyHolmes indicated the Deep Ball is a point of emphasis. Just think, Patrick Kelsey didn't even get normal targets, and while it was close, for Chiefs not playing their best football against probably the best Defense.. lets just say, the chiefs look interesting 🎉😂

The Ravens were penalized 7 times for 64 yards. The Chiefs 6 for 45. Let's also not forget the late hit on Mahomes when he was a full yard out of bounds and the unnecessary roughness when the Ravens player went for Mahomes legs which was also probably out of bounds as well. Neither of which drew flags. And you're going to tell me the refs were helping the Chiefs? Give it a rest.
