Hi Kevin, many of us have thought or knew that eBay employ people that watch YT vids when an eBay issue topic is cast, I mean why wouldn't they, its in their interest as well as ours. Without sounding sycophantic in anyway I believe that you were selected to have a "one to one" call because you are never angry about the issue just frustrated in a professional manner so thank you for being our voice on the issues that drive us all a little crazy sometimes.

I had an item I was selling multiple of every day. Things were great. Making lots of money. I ran out, got a another supply. Relisted the item. Haven't had a sale in two months +/-. Friends and family can't even find my listed item. It hasn't received any views. There is NO customer service number or email. So, I can't get any assistance.

Thanks for sharing your conversation with eBay. Can't wait to hear the rest of it. You make a very good point about eBay vs Amazon. Many people feel that Amazon has become "too big for their britches" (as my grandmother would say ha!). I became an eBay seller in Feb 2000 and fell in love with the community. That's a big part of why I still buy and sell there. eBay feels like an old friend who's always been there for me.

I had been on Ebay since 1998. I started having issues as a seller 10 years ago. I finally decided to leave the platform, for a different platform, 10 years ago. I am happy where I'm at. For me, there are too many hoops to jump through on Ebay. It is just not worth my time. Having said that, there are difficulties with every platform as we do not live in a perfect world. Glad to hear Ebay reached out to you.

The partial set of Tupperware Measuring Cups (around 15:15) reminded me... I sometimes get messages asking to sell just a single replacement Measuring Cup. That's not usually part of MY Business Model, but it may work for someone who wants to follow the "If in doubt, part it out" idea. I could justify using that reasoning to pick up an incomplete set. Hi Kevin, Thank you for all you do. I'm a very small part time seller. The only 2 thing I want from eBay is to have a fair opportunity to show and sell my items. Also to have my back in a return if needed. I think that the problems that we are see are not all eBay but if eBay is not will to stand up for their sellers they are just as guilty as if they was doing it them self. I know that I don't know everything and only been reselling for just over 2 years but that is how I feel and see it. I will be watching closely for any news from you about your conversation with ebay. I hope it wasn't just somebody giving lip service to hearing seller's gripes. Also glad to hear you mention how bad Amazon is. I started selling heavily on Amazon in 2015 and I made a lot of money there for awhile, but then they started changing things, and I'm sure you don't need me to reiterate what that platform has become. I have now removed every one of my products from Amazon because it just became too much trouble. I haven't yet closed it only because of a neighbor friend who wants me to show him how to get started and get a new version of game listed that his daughter created and sold the first version with branding by a major and household game company.

Just a warning: Ebay employees are really good at candy coating things and deverting attention from reality. I have attended 3 Ebay opens and talked with many employees, VP Bob Kupbens and Hal Lawton about real concerns with platform. I felt great and comfortable with proposed positive changes that were coming to help sellers. The hard truth after returning home the changes were slow or did not happen. I know its a different crew running show now , but keep in mind they will do whatever best for Ebay not what's best for you're business. Thanks for sharing.

You hit the nail on the head...ebay will never please everyone but they certainly can improve relationships with sellers and it is in their best interest. There will always be bones of contention for people, but ebay has provided a great platform for many of us. You can't make everyone happy all the time and everyone has to decide for themselves. I choose to sell on ebay as it's provided a place to showcase items and I've had more good experiences than bad. Thanks for bringing up issues, sharing insight and staying positive. Oh... and stay animated, we wouldn't want you any other way!

I wanted to share this, I just had an item removed for being counterfeit by eBay. New in box UGG slides. I personally purchased 2 pairs different sizes for my mother in Kohl’s so I knew they weren’t counterfeit. I contacted eBay and was told the company alerted eBay and that is why they took action!! I was told I basically had them listed to low and the company doesn’t like that but I could relist them and put in the description why I had them listed below market value!!! I’m shocked I have to explain why I’m selling them at a lower price!! I will share the conversation as I don’t think anyone would believe such an idiotic reason UGG reported my listing! eBay Customer Service was wonderful and I will say they have always been great and helpful to me!!! Just thought I would share this, quite strange if you ask me!!! So now I am allowed to relist and explain my elderly mom has foot issues so I purchased 2 different sizes and they still didn’t fit so because my mother wasn’t able to use them I’m selling below market value…HOW SILLY IS THAT!!😂😂😂

I ran across another reseller video (I saved it so I can share if needed but forgot his name) he was saying he purchased an item but would not send payment until invoice was received? He said the seller insists on an invoice for returns etc (totally understandable to require an i oice for a return) but this man said the seller was a known reseller and he gave home like 50 bad reviews? It’s. Along shot but maybe he was a customer of yours causing havoc? So glad your account is back! I appreciate your videos, I am a new seller on EBay, I started last month. I ran in the same issue like you had with matches when i was selling aerosol machinist spray as well as spray paint, I specifically told them you offer UPS shipping, its not special shipping unless you have large quantities. Place the Black/white triangle placard on the box and ship it ground only....they agreed and reinstated the listing and it sold within a day.

In my experience EBAY has LOST customer SERVICE! period! idiot AI is NOT an Answer! ebays back bone was mom and pop sellers UNTIL corporations started using the Platform. We have been kicked to the curb and it began long ago. I remember the shift. Sad state of affairs. I still use the platform BUT often think of seeking other outlets for my items. Ebay lost my confidence long ago and that is hard to overcome!
