Herman Knives is my new favourite knife company. In theory. I feel, if i ever could afford one of these knives, it would put a final end to my search of The Perfect Knife.

Hey I wanted to ask you about an issue I am having with my brand new Herman dragonfly. After a day of playing with it I noticed the action had become gritty or bumpy so I took it apart and cleaned it. I noticed the hardened washers had little chips in them, both of them. The chips didn’t seem to be where the bearing balls were in contact with them. I also noticed that the bearing sockets where the ceramic balls are surrounded by the bronze were very rough and almost sharp to the touch. Long story short the action is still bumpy after cleaning. Do any of your Herman’s have this and if so did it work itself out?

Just received my Dragonfly today. Was a actually a bit disappointed with the sharpness. My sting was way sharper. This one actually catches a bit wven just slicing paper

I like the black one a lot, the big one would be my preferred choice. Funny enough I like the shape of the one you like the least, the most, but I understand why you think that. Small details are all that separate them.

When you say secondary market what/where do you mean?
@wes.killed.it.55113 ай бұрын
The secondary market is the after-market, market. Though it's not always the case, it usually means when you buy knives that have already been owned/carried/used by another party; also, anything not bought directly from a company or retailer and is usually purchased from a collector selling a knife/scales/pocket clip on knife swap/blade binge/Ebay to another collector. The secondary market can also be companies that produce and sell after market parts for certain knife models (scales, pocket-clip/backspacer sets), that have no affiliation with that particular company.

Herman knives are absolutely gorgeous pieces of functional art, but my one and only complaint about his designs are the lack of sharpening choils. If he did that and added some thumb studs, I would be all over that. He pays attention to tiny details most don't but the one negative is too much for me to spend that kind of money.

I have Demkos that CRACK when I open them too, but guess what. They don't cost 1200$ I'm sorry, but Hermin and Oz Machine Factory are HIGHLY overrated. I could lump brown into that category too. HOWEVER, HOLT and ROBJOHNSON and SKIFF ARE 100% WORTH THEIR PRICE TAG. Because their milling and actual product quality is MUCH higher.
