And that's the Beatles at their worst. Fighting and basically already breaking up. Incredible. The let it be naked album really made me like it a lot more. Without the, at times, over the top orchestral bits, the songs were better able to speak for themselves and I believe came across better than the original release. Glad Paul felt the need to get that out.

When you hear a big beefy voice, that's Paul!! That's his Elvis voice,. His voice is BIG when he wants it. Paul sings all of the highest parts and also all of the lowest parts. His voice at its peak was 4 and a half octaves, which is insanely rare.
@isyourbackstillbad
@isyourbackstillbad Жыл бұрын
John mostly did the deeper stuff, he had a really powerful voice on the lower register. They both had impressive vocal range, but four plus octaves? no: Paul's impressive two octaves and an augmented fourth was just short of John's amazing two octaves and a fifth. Together with George's underrated middle register, their three part harmonies were sublime. There were rock singers out there with wider ranges, but The Beatles' sound was untouchable.
@loosilu

@isyourbackstillbad
@isyourbackstillbad Жыл бұрын
@@loosilu maybe on Wikipedia - but we all know they can (and do) get things wrong. If it is documented, then it's documented wrongly, because he didn't - and that's according to Todd Lowry, who arranged "The Complete Beatles" for publication; and as well as being the author of more than 20 books about music, he is also a music director, songwriter/composer and pianist with a Masters of Music from the University of North Texas. Having investigated this professionally, the lowest note he could find which Paul McCartney sang on record was a B2 on “And I Love Her.” The highest note he sang was an F5 on “Maybe I’m Amazed.” That puts him just shy of the span covered by John Lennon - amazingly within a single song! ("Happiness Is A Warm Gun") - ranging between a low G2, sung at the end of the phrase, “Mother Superior jumped the gun” and the highest note he sang, which was a D5, sung near the end on the word “gun.” Both Paul and John were vocally strong throughout their impressive ranges.

You are so precious. The reason that new Beatles fans get confused about when it's Paul is because he's maybe the most versatile vocalist in history. He has about 20 different versions of his voice that he can employ with ease. This is rocker Paul, but there is also pop Paul, Crooner Paul, maudlin Paul, classical Paul, country Paul, jazz Paul, silly Paul, character Paul, falsetto Paul, airy Paul, and others. The best thing to do when you're just familiarizing yourself with Beatles is to learn the other three's voices, and then you know the rest is all Paul. George has a higher, softer voice that's very ephemeral with almost no vibrato. John has a nasal, scooping voice that cuts through the instruments. Ringo is easy, because he's the only one with a deeper baritone voice that sounds just like his speaking voice. The other 20 voices are all the genius of Sir Paul.

Jayy- The first part of I've got a feeling is Paul McCartney and the backup is John so you were right. For future reference its not really that hard to tell the difference between Paul and Johns voice. Whenever you heard the loud soulful voice then you always know thats Paul bc John couldn't hit the high notes like Paul Could. It also usually is always going to be either Paul or John with the lead bc George didn't sing lead or write to many songs.

George sang lead on several songs. Among them, Taxman, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Something, Old Brown Shoe, Within You Without You, and Here Comes the Sun. He sang lead for every non instrumental song he wrote with the Beatles. I believe all told he wrote 23 or so songs with lyrics. He sang lead on some songs for every album. All told, he is credited as having sung lead on 34 Beatles tracks from Their first Album through Let It Be.
